Draft Days 2-3 Best Picks

Hi, the draft is over and it was really fun to watch some of it. I've looked at the draft recap and will be telling you guys who I think were the best picks of days 2 and 3 of the draft:

Will Hernandez, OG, UTEP to the Giants at pick 34:
This was only 2 picks after the first round but Hernandez was easily a first round talent. Hernandez was great in college and will be a major help to a struggling Giants o-line from last year. This was the best pick they could have possibly had at 34.

Dante Pettis, WR, Washington to the 49ers at 44:
Pettis was an explosive playmaker at UW. He is one of the best return men we've ever seen coming out of college but he could do a tiny bit better at actual receiver. Pettis will give Jimmy G another great weapon in San Fransisco and the team gets a starting returner. This pick was just awesome.

Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa to the Packers at 45:
The Packers came into the draft with a huge need of a CB and they came away in the first 2 rounds with 2 new quality CBs. Jackson was a late first round talent that fell into the hands of the hungry Packers in round 2. Jackson should get a lot of playing time and should have a big impact. He lead all of college last year with 8 picks.

Derrius Guice, RB, LSU to the Redskins at 59:
Guice was a first round talent and the 2nd best back available to me but some teams thought he was immature causing a slide to the late 2nd round. Guice was good last year but a hurt ankle limited him from having crazy success like he did in 2016. Guice was a steal here and will walk into the starting job right away and I expect him to have RB1 type numbers.

DJ Chark, WR, LSU to the Jaguars at 61:
The Jags desperately needed to add one more good target for Blake Bortles and they did picking combine stud DJ Chark. Chark starred at the combine and boosted his draft stock way up after having only a decent season at LSU this past year. Chark will get a fair share of targets and should be a key part of an improving Jags offense.

Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma St. to the Steelers at 76:
While I don't think they needed to find his successor so early in the draft, it looks like the Steelers have prepared themselves for the future. Rudolph was the last first/second round talent QB left in the draft and the Steelers grabbed him. Rudolph will sit for a year or 2 while Big Ben finishes out his career and then he will likely assume the starting role. I think waiting this next year or 2 will really prepare him and he will be very effective when he finally takes the field.

Arden Key, DE, LSU to the Raiders at 87:
Key's hype really died this past season but I still believe he can become an elite pro bowler in his career. The Raiders got a steal here with him because he could play right away and I think he is the type of player who could have a big impact. I like Key and think he will do well under Jon Gruden in Oakland.

Shaquem Griffin, LB, UCF to the Seahawks at 141:
My favorite pick in the draft and my favorite player in the draft Griffin is such a great story for those who don't know already. Griffin's hand had to get amputated at an early age. He kept playing football with his twin brother Shaquill and the two made it to the same college and now Griffin has been drafted after an amazing college career and combine. I think he will start eventually for the Seahawks and joins his twin brother Shaquill as he was drafted by the Hawks last year. All around an amazing story with an amazing ending with the 2 getting to play on the same team. Forgot to mention the Hawks are also my favorite team.

Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame to the Packers at 207:
I was much more hyped on St. Brown then most but I've seen his highlights before and I've seen him play and I really liked what I saw from him in college. I'm not sure just how much playtime he will get. If he gets some and can build on it I'm sure it will turn out well as he's super talented and I think eventually he can get a big role on the Packers and become a top target for Aaron Rodgers.

Jordan Mailata, OT, (from Australia) to the Eagles at 233:
This is going to be a very interesting story. Mailata entered the draft as a huge 6'8 o-lineman who played rugby in Australia. We will get to see if his skills can translate to the NFL. I think they probably will and maybe he could find a job in the starting o-line sometime. I really like this pick and think it is low risk but with a chance at a big reward.

Bo Scarbrough, RB, Alabama to the Cowboys at 236:
I loved Scarbrough the big bruising back from Bama in college but teams weren't so high on him so he got picked in the 7th round. I think he has a chance to be a fill in, 3rd down back for the Cowboys and could actually do something. Him and Zeke could end up being an amazing duo.

Sam Darnold to Jets at 3 overall-The Jets lucked out that the best, least bust like QB was still there for them at 3. AMAZING PICK!
Quenton Nelson to Colts at 6-The Colts traded down only to get an amazing o-lineman. I would have taken Nelson over a ton of people in this draft.
Lamar Jackson to Ravens at 32-The Ravens traded up for Jackson and he will be their QB of the future. Learning behind Flacco for a year or 2 before deploying Jackson will be amazing for the young QB.
