Rookie of the Year Watch

2015 has been a season where lots of rookies have broken out and helped their teams, here a my top 10 rookies who I think could win rookie of the year:

10. Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs: At the start of the season Diggs had seen no targets at all, then WR Charles Johnson got injured and so Diggs stepped in as a starter, he got about 80 yards which was pretty good for a rookie whose first start in the NFL was that day, the next week Diggs did even better! He got about 120 yards, then the next week he got about 100 yards and his first career TD, then the next week he got about 90 yards and a TD! After those amazing weeks he started going downhill and started having random weeks but all of them were less than 80 yards. If Diggs starts playing really well again he might have a shot but the chances are very low

9. Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota: The first and second picks of the latest NFL draft were both QB's, Mariota was the 2nd overall pick. Mariota started the season off strong leading the Titans to 2 wins but then in a game against the Dolphins Mariota threw interceptions and also got injured. Mariota was out for about 1-2 weeks and since being out Mariota hasn't played very well. Mariota still has a fair shot at rookie of the year.

8. Buffalo Bills CB Ronald Darby: What a season so far for Darby, he ranks in the top 5 of all cornerbacks in the NFL currently, coach Rex Ryan has called a lot of plays where cornerbacks have man to man coverage. I don't have much to say about Darby but he is really great and has a great shot at rookie of the year.

7. Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson Jr.: Ok ok, Duke Johnson has only had one great game this season but if you look at his stats for a backup RB Johnson has some good stats. He is a bit random and hasn't had any huge games but slowly Johnson has been making an impact in Cleveland. If Johnson has even more great games it could slowly put him into a spot to be a candidate for rookie of the year! Watch out for Johnson in the final games of the season.

6. Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon- Yeldon has had a great season so far! He's had some amazing games where he got lots of rushing and receiving yards and some TD's, Yeldon has a shot at rookie of the year though it is pretty small considering there is another RB on this rookie list who is ranked better than Yeldon but don't forget about Yeldon because he is great and randomly has good so don't totally suspend your belief on Yeldon winning rookie of the year.

5. Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett: Some people might think that Lockett should be closer to no. 1 on this list but I think that 5 is a good spot for him to show what he has done this season. Lockett has been a great returner making every return a chance for a TD. In Lockett's game against the Steelers one of his returns went to the 50 yard line! Lockett will be an obvious pro bowl return specialist pick and along with his amazing returning Lockett has scored 3 receiving TD's this season and also catching long passes. Lockett is an amazing WR and is in the top 3 for fastest players currently in the NFL along with Rams WR Tavon Austin and Ravens WR Breshad Perriman. Lockett has a huge shot at rookie of the year.

4. Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford: Langford has had a great season. Matt Forte' started the season off as the obvious starter but then about halfway through the season Forte' got injured an Langford stepped in! WOW! Lots of TD's, rushing yards, and receiving yards happened when Langford stepped in. Now Forte' is back but Langford is getting many touches still and Forte's contract will run out after this season and it looks like Langford may start in 2016 for the Bears, watch out for Langford in the rookie of the year race.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston: The first overall pick has payed off. Winston's season started off slow with many interceptions but as the season rolled on Winston got better and better and then one week the Buccaneers crushed in their game, Winston threw 5 TD passes which was amazing for him. Winston has had great performances lately and I wouldn't be surprised if Winston won rookie of the year!

2. Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls: Rawls started the season as an undrafted rookie who got picked up by Seattle and started the season behind started Marshawn Lynch. Lynch the starter has played terribly this season and then Lynch got injured. Just like Jeremy Langford stepped in and played amazing. Against the 49ers Rawls got a TD and 200 and something yards ranking 2nd in all time rankings for yards in 1 game for Seattle! Rawls has played AMAZING this season and I will not be surprised if Rawls wins rookie of the year!

1. (FINALLY) St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley: Gurley has had an amazing season, he started the season injured for the first few weeks but then Gurley started to play after week 3 and for two straight games Gurley rushed for around 150 yards and then the next week Gurley scored 2 TD's and now for the last few weeks Gurley has scored a TD in every game except last week. Last week Gurley only rushed for about 20 yards. Just because of one bad week doesn't mean Todd Gurley will play bad for the rest of the season. So don't stop believing in Gurley for the rest of the season and I think he is an amazing rookie who deserves the no.  1 spot on this list!

Finally the end of this list, I am sorry but I forgot to put amazing rookie WR Amari Cooper who I will say makes about spot no. 3 on this list tied with Jameis Winston!
