Minnesota Vikings:
Round 1: WR Laquon Treadwell, Round 2: CB Mackensie Alexander, Round 4: OT Willie Beavers, Round 5: OLB Kentrell Brothers, Round 6:WR Moritz Boehringer, TE David Morgan, Round 7: OLB Stephen Weatherly, S Jayron Kearse
Grade: A-
The Vikings had 3 key players in this draft and then a few others who could still help, but maybe not as much as the three I'm thinking about. With their first pick, the Vikings got WR Laquon Treadwell which is a great pick because they needed a WR and even though Treadwell was the last top WR to go doesn't mean that he's not the best of the others. He's fast and strong and in my opinion, the best WR in the draft! With their 2nd pick the Vikings selected Mackensie Alexander. A really good CB who can become a top CB and shut out Jordy Nelson and Alshon Jeffery who the Vikings play twice a year! The Vikings last great pick was one of their 6th round picks, WR Moritz Boehringer! First of all this pick was NFL history which is cool because a German player has never come straight from Europe to an NFL team. Also, watching some of his gameplay from Germany, it looks like he was the star player of the team. He outran almost every defender for multiple touchdowns! Boehringer could have a hard transition from a easy league, to a hard one, but I think he can do it and he could help the Vikings out a lot! The Vikings had other productive picks, but these three were the heart and soul of their draft!
Jacksonville Jaguars:
Round 1: CB/S Jalen Ramsey, Round 2: LB Myles Jack, Round 3: DE Yannick Ngakoue, Round 4: DT Sheldon Day, Round 6: OLB Tyrone Holmes, QB Brandon Allen, Round 7: DE Jonathan Woodard
Grade: A-
The Jaguars already had a very productive off-season before the draft, signing multiple star players from other teams but now, the Jags will be even better off with their draft picks! In round 1, the Jaguars took the best player in the draft in Jalen Ramsey, he will be their "Guy" at corner, with Prince Amukamara helping on the other side of the field. Easily a lockdown corner. With their 2nd pick, the Jags got Myles Jack, a player who they almost used their first pick on, but when he was still open in the 2nd round, they traded for the pick and took him! Jack, Dante Fowler, and Malik Jackson will be an amazing LB trio! The rest of their picks were decent but these were the two standout picks that really made the draft amazing for them!
Dallas Cowboys:
Round 1: RB Ezekiel Elliott, Round 2: LB Jaylon Smith, Round 3: DT Maliek Collins, Round 4: DE Charles Tapper, QB Dak Prescott, Round 6: CB, Anthony Brown, SS Kavon Frazier, RB Darius Jackson, TE Rico Gathers
Grade: A
The Cowboys had a great draft. With their first pick, taking Ezekiel Elliott was great because they have the best O line in the league and with an actual good running back instead of Christine Michael, Joe Randle, or Darren McFadden, the Cowboys have finally found their DeMarco Murray in Elliott! With a great line, Elliott could help a lot! In round 2, the Cowboys took a gamble on Jaylon Smith who was the best LB in the draft until he had a nasty leg injury, now he won't get to play next season but after that, teams should look out because Jaylon Smith will be awesome! In round 4 I loved the pick of Dak Prescott because he is a great QB who can back up Tony Romo (who gets injured a lot) and if Romo got hurt again, the Cowboys could still win the Super Bowl with Dak Prescott who is a great underrated QB. The rest of the Cowboys picks were decent but these 3 picks made up the draft for them and I think they have a legit shot at a comeback season next year.
Denver Broncos:
Round 1: QB Paxton Lynch, Round 2: DT Adam Gotsis, Round 3: FS Justin Simmons, Round 4: RB Devontae Booker, Round 5: OG Connor McGovern, Round 6: FB Andy Janovich, S Will Parks, Round 7: P Riley Dixon
Grade: B-
The Broncos didn't have that many amazing picks. There were 2 that stood out and 1 that was a no-brainer amazing pick. In round 1, the Broncos traded up five picks with the Seahawks to pick 26 to draft QB Paxton Lynch. The Broncos really had no one at QB and without Lynch, the Broncos would have to draft some middle level QB who might not be good enough to play well. Now the Broncos have, (in my opinion) the best QB out of the draft. He's tall and fast and has a big arm, what's not to like about him. I think Lynch was a great pick for the Broncos and now they have a young, signal caller who can start and play well for them. Th Broncos 2nd good pick was in round 4, RB Devontae Booker. All of the Broncos RB are questionable, C.J. Anderson will still be the starter next season but he rarely plays well and Ronnie Hillman is just random and isn't that good. If the two aren't playing well, the Broncos can turn to Booker who could be a good starter. I think the Broncos had some other great picks, but these two guys were the best!
Tennessee Titans:
Round 1: OT Jack Conklin, Round 2: Kevin Dodd, T Austin Johnson, RB Derrick Henry, Round 3: S Kevin Byard, Round 5: WR Tajae Sharpe, CB LeShaun Sims, Round 6: OT Sebastian Tretola, Round 7: OLB Aaron Wallace, CB Kalan Reed
Grade: A+
The Titans had no doubt, the best draft of any team. In round one, the Titans got one of the best overall players in the draft in Jack Conklin. They really need an OT an Conklin is a really good one! In round 2, the Titans took my favorite DE in the draft in Kevin Dodd. Dodd is probably the best DE other than the two top 10 picks DeForest Buckner and Joey Bosa. Dodd will be the Titans new "guy" on D! Also in round 2, the Titans got Derrick Henry, the Heisman winning RB. He and DeMarco Murray can share the carries and now the Titans have really good RB's on the team! The Titans had other good picks, but these 3 guys stood out and I think that the Titans got an A+ draft because of the amazing talents they landed!
Those were my top teams who had the best drafts but here are some other teams who had great drafts also: Dolphins, Buccaneers, and Seahawks. Also, I am a Duke Football fan and I was surprised not hearing Duke's top defensive player, S Jeremy Cash in the draft, but the Panthers have signed him so look out for Jeremy Cash on the Panthers!
