Kareem Hunt for MVP? Demarcus Lawrence Sack Leader?

Hi, today I'm posting on 2 interesting storylines that I thought you might want to hear about. Here it is:

Kareem Hunt for MVP?
Kareem Hunt has been the most interesting player so far this season. The rookie RB 3 weeks into the season is by far the best player in the league. His debut game vs the Patriots was unexpected and insane! Then the next 2 weeks, Hunt put up some more amazing numbers. 3 weeks into the season Hunt has rushed for 401 yards, 4 TDs, and received 137 yards and 2 TDs through the air. Hunt has 538 all purpose yards and 6 all purpose TDs already. These stats are amazing, especially for a rookie RB. If he keeps his rushing yard pace, by week 9, he could have about 1200 yards barely halfway into the season. If Hunt had 1200 yards by week 9 and kept pace, he could end up with about 2000 rushing yards in just his rookie season. If this happens, it will be crazy. He will be considered as one of the best rookie seasons in NFL history. If he keeps his receiving pace his could also have over 500 receiving yards. If all of this happens, Hunt may be the frontrunner for MVP. Hunt could be the first rookie to ever win MVP. I think he will also continue the streak of rookies leading the league in
rushing for the 2nd season in a row, leading up from Ezekiel Elliott's amazing rookie year. Kareem Hunt may win MVP...in his first season! I also forgot to mention that Hunt is averaging 9.6 yards per carry, the best EVER in NFL history if he can somehow sustain this tally to the end of the season.

Demarcus Lawrence Sack Leader?
Could another insane pass rusher named Demarcus be coming Dallas' way? It may be happening. Just a few years ago in 2014, Lawrence was drafted by the Cowboys in the 2nd round. The hope was that Lawrence could really aid the rush game. Throughout his first 3 seasons, Lawrence wasn't really anything special. He only had 9 sacks thus far into his career. Now he has started 2017 off with a BANG! Lawrence already has 6.5 sacks only 3 weeks into the season, 2.5 sacks away from getting over his career sack number before this year. Lawrence could be something special, not only may he lead the league in sacks if he keeps on pace, but around week 13, Lawrence could set the single season sack record if he keeps on his pace. Giants DE Michael Strahan set the record with 22.5 sacks that year, Lawrence could be on his way to pass him. He already has an insane 6.5 sacks in only 3 weeks, he is on pace to break Strahan's record and then keep getting more and more sacks and passing the record by A LOT! I'm not completely sold yet that Lawrence is the real deal and could keep on this legendary pace but if he does, he could be one of the next defensive superstars. Defensive Player of the Year could be in his near future. I'm excited to see how his season plays out and if he can live up to his legendary prediction!

Winners of the Week, Week 3

Hi, here is this weeks winners of the week post:

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Giants:
Even though the Giants lost, Beckham is my player of the week. The Giants look embarassing as they had so much hype to be a deep playoff contender this year but are now one of the only 0-3 teams left in the league and they barely lost this week but Odell was a bright spot. After missing week 1, and barely playing week 2, Odell showed up week 3. He caught 9 passes for 79 yards and a whopping 2 TDs. There was some other stuff that happened that made me give him this though other than his good statline. The first is that one both of Odell's TDs were amazing. The first was an incredible toe in the back of the endzone catch. The 2nd was another CRAZY one handed play like always from Odell. Watch the highlights and you will see. The 2nd thing that happened was Odell with one of his catches became the fastest receiver in NFL history to reach catches. That is huge. Odell's good statline, crazy catches, and amazing NFL record get him my blog's player of the week award for week
3!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Washington Redskins (2-1):
The Redskins had the upset of the week that no one saw coming. Playing against the surging Raiders, everyone including me thought that the Raiders had an easy win coming their way. Actually it went the other way around. The Redskins had an easy win coming THEIR way! QB Kirk Cousins had a great game. 365 passing yards, 3 TDs, no interceptions. RB Chris Thompson recorded another great week: 38 rush yards, 150 receiving yards, 1 TD. He really lead the Redskins offense. Their D also played well. Josh Norman covered well and the rest of the D did its part to stop the Raiders red hot offense. The whole Redskin team played well and surprised EVERYONE to get a great win as a team!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Todd Gurley, RB, Rams
Jared Goff, QB, Rams
Tom Brady, QB, Patriots
Brandin Cooks, WR, Patriots
Jake Elliott, K, Eagles
Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks

Joe Thomas: 10,000 Snaps

Hi, today I am doing a post on an individual player at a position I rarely ever talk about. Here is a post about Joe Thomas, the Browns O-lineman, who I think is the best in his position. This is a tribute post to a great career Joe Thomas has had. Here it is:

With the 3rd pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select Joe Thomas, OL, Wisconsin. This may be one of the only Browns selections in recent history that has payed off. Joe Thomas was a stud from the first time he stepped on the field in 2007. He was a great blocker in Wisconsin and the Browns were excited for their rookie first round pick to start blocking for what will have been a crazy carousel of QBs in the next 10 years. The 6'6 312 lb Thomas had a lot of weight on his shoulders. The 3rd overall pick is very high to be selected as we know and if it was a bad o-lineman, the Browns would have been fools. In his first season, Thomas was effective right away. He won the starting left tackle role on the team and played week 1 of his career. He played every offensive snap that game. By November of his rookie season, Thomas was playing well. He won NFL Rookie of the Month that month and by the end of the year made his first pro bowl in just year 1. This was the start of
something that would happen EVERY SINGLE year of his illustrious career so far. Thomas almost won rookie of the year that year but lost to Adrian Peterson. Thomas' career would have been even crazier if an O-lineman took home ROY. The next 3 years Thomas kept playing elite. He made 3 more pro bowls and never missed a game, let alone a single snap. Thomas had started his career of playing every offensive snap and not missing a single game. 4 years of straight snaps. Thomas had never been seen on the bench when the Browns offense was on the field. In 2011, Thomas signed a huge contract extension. 7 years-$84 million. He deserved it. He was showing to be a great blocker
and made great holes for the Browns RBs and blocked for all of the Browns many QBs. Lets do a quick summary of his career up until this year.
2012: 5th Pro Bowl straight, played every snap, no missed games
2013: 6th straight Pro Bowl, played every snap, no missed games
2014: 7th straight Pro Bowl, played every snap, no missed games
2015: 8th straight Pro Bowl, played every snap, no missed games
2016: 9th straight Pro Bowl, played every snap, no missed games
Now we are at 2017. As you can see. Thomas has been amazing thus far into his career. He has made the pro bowl every year out of his 10 year career. Never missed a single snap or a single game in his career. In week 2 of 2017, Thomas and the Browns offense lined up. The ball was snapped. Thomas and the other Browns OL's blocked while QB DeShone Kizer handed off to RB Isiah Crowell. A 9 yard gain but that wasn't the only thing that happened on that play. Joe Thomas had reached his 10,000th straight career snap. It over 9 years of playing NFL football where injuries are so common, Joe Thomas has never missed a game, or a single offensive snap. He has been there every offensive play throughout the last decade. Congrats! He is the only player in NFL history to reach 10,000 career straight snaps. A quote of Joe Thomas which I want to end off with is, he was in the huddle and a QB came in for an injured QB and Thomas recalled he had never met him. Shook hands and said, "Hi I'm Joe, nice to meet you", in the huddle. This shows how many random QBs he's blocked for in 10 years straight of play. He is still not close to done yet in his career and still could do much more. How many snaps consecutive can he go? When will the streak end? Will it end? Also trade rumors have been swirling the last 2 years, could Thomas find a new home before the end of his career? Many questions still to be answered in the end of Thomas' great career. Thomas is a true great in the NFL and will be a hall of famer.

Winners of the Week, Week 2

Hi, just like last week, here is this weeks, WINNERS OF THE WEEK where I pick my player and team of the week! post:

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tom Brady, QB, Patriots:
Tom Brady had quite a rebound from his huge loss to the Chiefs in week 1 and now everyone is scared. Tom Brady threw for 447 yards, 3 TDs, and no interceptions this week against the Saints. A week after throwing 267 yards, no TDs or interceptions. The old Brady is back! 447 yards is CRAZY! Anytime a QB gets 400+ yards in a game, its a special performance. Brady and the Pats are back and better than ever. If any doubts of TB's age were there last week, they've all gone by now. Brady is week 2's player of the week.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Denver Broncos (2-0):
An AFC West team claims team of the week for the 2nd week in a row. The Broncos are my team of the week. The Broncos had a stellar performance this week against an elite playoff contender, the Cowboys. They made the Cowboys look like the Browns. QB Trevor Siemian looked like an unquestioned stud starting QB. Emmaunel Sanders looked like the great receiver he is meant to be. C.J. Anderson finally looked like a starting RB again. The entire Bronco defense played well as a team and limited the leagues leading rusher from a year ago Ezekiel Elliott to 8 yards. The worst game of his career...
Denver looks like a playoff contender again and teams should start getting worried about these dangerous Broncos who won the Super Bowl just 2 seasons ago with their stout defense.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Chris Jones, DE, Chiefs
Tyrann Mathieu, S, Cardinals
Michael Crabtree, WR, Raiders
Chris Thompson, RB, Redskins

TEAM OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Atlanta Falcons (2-0)
New England Patriots (1-1)
Detroit Lions (2-0)
Oakland Raiders (2-0)
Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)

Player of the Week, Winner List: Week 1 Kareem Hunt RB Chiefs, Week 2 Tom Brady QB Patriots
Team of the Week, Winner List: Week 1 Chiefs, Week 2 Broncos

Winners of the Week 2018, Week 1 Edition

Hi, I'm not sure if you guys remember me doing these last year, but after every week last season, I made a post every week about the player and team of the week. This player and team are the performances I thought were the best of the week. Here it is:

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs:
To kickoff winners of the week, our first player of the week is a rookie! Kareem Hunt had arguably the best debut for a rookie RB ever! Things weren't looking good for the rookie RB as he fumbled on his first ever carry but he went OFF after that. He ran for 148 yards, and a rushing TD but also caught 98 yards through the air. He also caught 2 TDs. In the end, he totaled 3 TDs and 246 all purpose yards. His 246 all purpose yards was the most all purpose yards by a rookie RB in their debut EVER! Kareem Hunt got his well deserved PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD! I almost forgot to mention that Kareem Hunt had 40 fantasy points, only 2 players had 40 fantasy points or more last season! Who? Ezekiel Elliott and Le'Veon Bell, 2 star elite NFL RBs. Does that mean Kareem Hunt is the next great NFL back?

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Kansas City Chiefs (1-0):
This isn't ALWAYS the case, but this week, the player of the week is on the same team as the team of the week. The Chiefs had a great week 1 that convinces me that they could be a contender this season. The whole Chiefs team played well. We know Kareem Hunt went off but he isn't the only player who contributed to the Chiefs. QB Alex Smith played so well and kept his job with rookie Patrick Mahomes behind his shoulder. The defense was playing so well and easily fended off a surging Patriots offense. Chiefs WR1 Tyreek Hill even had a huge touchdown catch. Everyone contributed in a huge blowout win against the reigning champs the Patriots.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Alex Smith, QB, Chiefs
Calais Campbell, DE, Jaguars
T.J. Watt, LB, Steelers
Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears
Brooks Reed, DE, Falcons

TEAM OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Green Bay Packers (1-0)
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0)
Los Angeles Rams (1-0)
Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)

Huge News + Week 1 Predix

Hi, today I am talking about news and week one game predictions. Here it is:

News:

Ezekiel Elliott's suspension put on hold, will likely be able to play entire season:
Some crazy news came out of today. After being suspended 6 games this season Zeke's suspension was put on hold and will likely be held until the 2018 season. This is huge news for a Cowboys team that was predicted to not even win the division this year and potentially not make the playoffs. This huge news could make them the division favorite again even though I personally think the Giants will win the division anyway. This is huge news!

Chiefs star S Eric Berry out for the season with achillies injury:
Even though the Chiefs are on a high note right now their best player isn't. Star pro bowl, all pro safety Eric Berry who signed a huge extension this offseason is out for the season with an achillies tear. This will be a huge blow for the Chiefs defense. Berry is one of the few IRREPLACEABLE players in the NFL. This doesn't make KC no longer a contender as they were great last night but it is a drag and could bite them in the butt later on.

Week 1 Predix:

Jets @ Bills: Bills
Falcons @ Bears: Falcons
Jaguars @ Texans: Texans
Eagles @ Redskins: Eagles
Cardinals @ Lions: Cardinals
Raiders @ Titans: Raiders
Ravens @ Bengals: Ravens
Steelers @ Browns: Browns
Colts @ Rams: Rams
Seahawks @ Packers: Seahawks
Panthers @ 49ers: Panthers
Giants @ Cowboys: Cowboys
Saints @ Vikings: Vikings
Chargers @ Broncos: Broncos

Hunt, Chiefs pull off major upset in kickoff!

Hi, lets get right into what happened in the kickoff game of the season:

Chiefs 42, Patriots 27:
This was one of the craziest kickoff games I've seen in a long time. Maybe ever. The defending Super Bowl champs had a horrible debut game while the Chiefs were AMAZING! We will start with the negative and that was the Patriots. While new RB Mike Gillislee played well and had 3 TDs, the Pats looked confused. Brady was off. He played decently but didn't throw a single TD or interception. To win the Pats would have needed more from him. Also the defense got tired out and let the Chiefs go all over them. I've never seen the Pats D in recent years get smoked that hard since the start of the Super Bowl. The Chiefs however were at the TOP of their game. Alex Smith who had doubts on him with the draft pick of Patrick Mahomes 10th overall played like an All-Pro. 350+ yards and 4 TDs. Maybe Mahomes won't play as soon as we think. Tyreek Hill had a nice one TD game and the
defense looked good even though Eric Berry went down with an injury that I don't know the extent to but rookie RB Kareem Hunt absoulutely stole the show! After having a bad start by fumbling on his very first play ever, he went onto have one of the best rookie debuts EVER! 246 scrimmage yards and 3 TDs. Did I forget to mention thats the most scrimmage yards in a rookie debut EVER! Thats right, Hunt had one of the best rookie debut performances, if not THE best EVER! Hunt also scored 40 fantasy points! THATS LITERALLY INSANE! Only 2 players last year had 40 or over and guess who they were. Le'Veon Bell and Ezekiel Elliott, and they are 2 of the best fantasy players in the league. Hunt did this in his first game! Does this mean Hunt is going to become one of the best RBs in football if he did this in his debut. Who knows? But we do know the Chiefs got a steal when they picked Hunt in the 3rd round of the draft. The Chiefs pulled off a major upset and could actually be a contender this year if they keep playing like that. Here comes Kareem Hunt and the Chiefs!

Games to Watch in Week 1!

Hi, I'm can't believe I'm saying this but we are 3 days away from football. The posts have started rolling again and I'm so excited for the season. Here are the best games to watch in week 1:

Chiefs @ Patriots:
The kickoff game is always among the main games to watch. Thursday night football is back and the Pats vs Chiefs is the first game. Not only is it a good game to watch because its the first one in awhile but both of these teams are really good and playoff contenders. We will see Tom Brady back, new RB Mike Gillislee, new WR Brandin Cooks all work together. On the Chiefs we will get to see how Alex Smith does with the pressure of rookie QB Patrick Mahomes on his shoulder, we will get to see new starting RB Kareem Hunt who has high expectations. I'm excited to see both good defenses go at it at the offenses too. This a game to watch.
Main Player to Watch: Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs
Predicted Winner: Patriots

Steelers @ Browns:
Not only is this a fun divisonal rivalry to watch but there is so many players to see. We will see rookie QB DeShone Kizer in his first matchup against a big division rival. We'll see Myles Garrett, the top pick in the draft. On the Steelers we will see how Big Ben does in his first game of what may be his last season, Martavis Bryant fresh off a year suspension, Le'Veon Bell an elite RB. Antonio Brown an elite WR. Also emerging DROY candidate brother of JJ Watt, TJ Watt will be going against DeShone Kizer. Joe Haden also just was cut by the Browns and signed by the Steelers. It should be fun to see the elite corner go against some of his former teammates. This should be a fun one especially with all the rookies.
Main Player to Watch: DeShone Kizer, QB, Browns
Predicted Winner: Browns

Seahawks @ Packers:
These teams play so often and its always SUCH a fun match-up to see. 2 high contenders going at it with overpowered teams. We'll start with the Seahawks. Russell Wilson should be better this year coming off a year in which he was on and off with injuries, he will be mobile again and has lost weight. The backfield should be interesting but I'm guessing it will feature former Packer Eddie Lacy. The receiving cores are both great. The Hawks D is scarier than ever. Earl Thomas is back from injury and the Hawks traded for pro bowl DE Sheldon Richardson. On the Packers, Aaron Rodgers is a top candidate to win MVP and the Packs offense looks amazing. Their D however can get picked apart and so this should be a really fun close game to watch, I'm excited!
Main Player to Watch: Eddie Lacy, RB, Seahawks
Predicted Winner: Seahawks

Giants @ Cowboys:
This game has become THE GAME to watch whenever its on. Both teams appeared playoff contenders last season but were both bounced in their first round. The Giants gave the Cowboys 2 of their 3 losses last season and were powerful but the Boys won the division. The Giants are the favorites to win the division this year and whoever wins this game could end up having a big edge later on. The Giants receiving core is going to be scary good this year while their run game isn't. The Cowboys should have a great running game even if Zeke is suspended. Darren McFadden is a good back running behind the best O-line in the league. 2nd year QB Dak Prescott coming off a rookie of the year winning season is predicted by many to have a sophmore slump so it will be interesting to see how he does against the Giants scary D. The Giants have a scary D and the Boys don't. That could give them the edge.
Main Player to Watch: Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys
Predicted Winner: Giants

Saints @ Vikings:
This game's main reason to be on this list is because of Adrian Peterson. The future hall of fame back who me and a lot of other people thought would be a Viking for life isn't. He wasn't re-signed this offseason and signed with the Saints. Now he will be playing against his former team week 1. On other notes, Drew Brees should be fun to watch as usual. Also we can see how WR Michael Thomas does in the spotlight. He was pretty good as a WR2 and now he is the no. 1 receiver on the Saints. Rookie CB Marshon Lattimore will also be fun to watch covering Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. I'm super excited to rookie RB Dalvin Cook. He is a favorite to win Rookie of the Year and he is super explosive. How will Sam Bradford do? What about the Vikings strong defense? This will be a fun game to watch! Also the first Monday night game of the season!
Main Player to Watch: Adrian Peterson, RB, Saints
Predicted Winner: Vikings

Raiders @ Titans:
2 teams that I think are making the playoffs this season squaring off week one! Fun to watch! Both teams will be playoff contenders this season and it will be fun to see them go off right away. The Titans team is looking really good. Marcus Mariota turned into an elite QB in his 2nd year. DeMarco Murray is a great RB on the Titans and was ELITE last year. The Titans also drafted WR Corey Davis 5th overall, he will help alot. Also the addition of WR2 Eric Decker will prove to be very helpful. The Titans D also features some stars like Jurrell Casey, Adoree' Jackson, and others that could make this team very dangerous. The Raiders are my Super Bowl pick this year. They are set. Derek Carr an MVP candidate QB. Marshawn Lynch who came out of retirement to play for the Raiders and I'm SOOOO excited to see that! Their receiving corps may be top 5 in the league. Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, Cordarelle Patterson, and Jared Cook. They will be trouble for corners. Their D could be better but will still be good enough to make them top Super Bowl contenders. If you want to see a high powered match, watch this game!
Main Player to Watch: Marshawn Lynch, RB, Raiders
Predicted Winner: Raiders

Also here are some notable moves: Colts sign RB Matt Jones, Panthers sign QB Brad Kaaya, Browns sign WR Kasen Williams, 49ers sign LB Ben Boulware

Preseason BREAKOUTS!

Hi, today I am writing a post about all of the breakout studs that have emerged this preseason. Here it is:

Cooper Rush, QB, Cowboys:
The Cowboys are just too good at finding good QBs for a bargain. Cooper Rush has had an outstanding preseason and may move up the depth chart and replace Kellen Moore as the teams backup QB. Rush has been so good this preseason. The undrafted rookie has made some insane plays including throws on the run, dots, and more. He has been making the right descions on his throws and looks like someday he could be a starter on a team.

Kasen Williams, WR, Seahawks/Browns:
Williams has really been a breakout this preseason. The Seahawks were looking for another great receiver and with a big preseason roster, the name Kasen Williams was somewhere on the list. Williams played better than any other Seahawks receiver this preseason. Making some insane one handed grabs, long catches, even a few TDs. He went up for some high balls and came down with them. His best games were weeks 1 and 2 in the preseason against the Chargers and Vikings. Williams has clinched himself a spot on the roster and could get some actual playtime this season.
UPDATE: SEAHAWKS CUT WILLIAMS, NOW SIGNED BY BROWNS

Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks:
Another Seahawks breakout this preseason, Carson had to step up because the Seahawks had over 5 RBs on the team this preseason. Boy he stepped up. Playing behind Eddie Lacy this preseason, Carson was explosive in every game and looked like Thomas Rawls in his rookie season. He broke tackles, juked and made powerful plays that left everyone in awe. Even though Thomas Rawls and Eddie Lacy will likely play a lot, the 7th round pick even got people into talking about if Carson could win the job. Carson has stepped up over all of the Seahawks running backs and earned himself a roster spot.

Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars:
I know I know, I talk A LOT about Westbrook on my blog but I really think he is an underrated player that doesn't get talked about enough. Westbrook went from an explosive Heisman candidate last college season to an overlooked 4th round pick due to his legal issues. Now Westbrook has been showing everyone why he shouldn't have been a 4th round pick. This preseason Westbrook has caught over 200 yards worth of balls and 2 TDs this preseason. He has shown the Jags that they can rotate the speedster in a times and that he will be an explosive weapon. Even after his explosive preseason he still isn't being talked about and I still fear that the team doesn't have him a roster lock. I hope they do because Westbrook can BALL.

Jacoby Brissett, QB, Patriots/Colts:
Most people haven't heard much of the Patriots 2nd year, 3rd string QB this preseason but what he did in the final week of the preseason easily put him on the preseason BREAKOUT list. In the final game of this years preseason, Brissett tossed 5 TDS! 5! Do you know how crazy that is. Most QBs in the NFL, even the good ones only throw around 1-3 TDs a game and even though its a preseason games, thats CRAZY! Brissett could actually be Tom Brady's successor if Jimmy Garopollo does leave this off-season. The Pats have 3 good QBs on the team right now.
UPDATE: BRISSETT WAS TRADED TO COLTS

DeShone Kizer, QB, Browns:
Likely preseasons biggest winner, Kizer had a breakout preseason. After Brock Osweiler was named preseason starter for the first 2 games of the preseason, Kizer shined while Osweiler struggled. In game 3 of the preseason, stud Kizer was named game starter and postgame was named the Browns 2017 starting QB. Brock Osweiler as we know was released. Kizer played great in the preseason and I'm pumped to see him this season as a starter.

Trevone Boykin, QB, Seahawks:
In the last preseason game, Boykin did have his struggles, but the rest of the preseason, Boykin looked like a stud. The 2nd year QB played amazingly in his first preseason but this year in his 2nd, he may have played even better. His best game was his game against the Chargers where he threw a bunch of TDs, made throws from all over the place, and lead the Hawks to a huge win. Boykin played very well most of the preseason and deserves his spot on this list.
UPDATE: BOYKIN WAS CUT BY SEAHAWKS

Notable Moves!

Hi, today is gonna be a post where I just list all of the big trades, cuts, and signings that went on yesterday on cutdown day. Here it is:

Seahawks cut WR's Kasen Williams and Cyril Grayson and QB Trevone Boykin:
As a Seahawks fan I was shocked and sad to see the Hawks cut 2 promising receivers that I really liked. Williams had a great preseason which is why I'm surprised. Grayson didn't have a great preseason but had a lot of potential and the team should have kept him. The Boykin cut was also saddening for me. Boykin has been an amazing backup in the preseason for the Seahawks and has shown so much potential. It doesn't make sense to me why the Hawks are cutting really good players just because they haven't COMPLETELY SHINED yet.

Colts trade WR Phillip Dorsett to Patriots for QB Jacoby Brissett:
This was a HUGE deal. While neither players are elite or even close this was a big deal. First, Brissett was a promising QB for the Pats and if they didn't want to overpay for a backup in Jimmy Garopollo they could have just kept Brissett who has proved to be a great backup and he could have possibly been the future successor for Tom Brady. I forgot to mention that Brissett threw 5 touchdowns in the last preseason game this year. Dorsett was a former first round pick receiver who hasn't had a chance to shine. Maybe the Pats can get something out of him. Brissett will likely start at QB until injured Andrew Luck is back from injury and then Brissett will be a great backup for the Colts.

Buccanners sign S TJ Ward:
The Bucs were the winners of the TJ Ward sweepstakes. For not much money, the Bucs brought in a starting safety thats been a pro bowler 3 times and has also been All-Pro. This was a great pickup out of nowhere so close to the start of the season.

QBs Brad Kaaya, Kellen Moore Cut, Broncos Sign Osweiler:
Some QB news happened yesterday also. Rookie QB Brad Kaaya who was a promising backup was surprisingly cut. He was a highly touted QB prospect that a lot of people knew. Kellen Moore, the longtime Cowboys backup has also been cut. Its surprising because now the Cowboys have good, but in-experienced rookie Cooper Rush as the only other backup on the team. Moore was also the only lefty QB left in the league. Brock Osweiler is headed home. Days after being cut, the Broncos signed Osweiler to a 1-year deal for the league minimum. This is the team Osweiler was drafted by and was going to be the QB of the future when he signed surprisingly with the Texans out of nowhere. Now Brock is headed back to backup Trevor Siemian as Paxton Lynch is injured for the first few weeks of the season.

Other Notable Cuts: WR Jeremy Kerley, LB Riley Bollugh, QB Josh Johnson, OT Eric Winston, O-lineman Alex Boone

Thanks for reading some of the big news that happened!

LOTS OF BIG MOVES!

Hi, today I am going to talk about all the big moves that have happened so far this week with roster trimming as each team has to go from around 75 players to the final 53 man roster. Here it is:

Brock Osweiler, QB Cut:
The move we all saw coming happened. The Browns cut bust QB Brock Osweiler. After being traded to the Browns this off-season, Osweiler competed for the Browns starting QB job but was eventually cut to save money and was not needed as the Browns named rookie QB DeShone Kizer their starting QB. Now Osweiler may be signed by a team like the Broncos in need of a backup QB but for cheap money.

T.J. Ward, S Cut:
The Broncos cut 3 time pro bowl safety TJ Ward. This move would have been SUPER surprising if we hadn't known the team was trying to trade Ward but since we knew that, the cutting of Ward was un-surprising. The Broncos are trying to stay young in their secondary and even though Ward is pretty young still, I guess they wanted younger. There will be a race to see which team can sign Ward as he is again a 3 time pro bowl safety coming off a good season. I still don't completely understand why the Broncos would get rid of a great safety for no reason.

Seahawks trade WR Jermaine Kearse, 2nd round pick, and 7th round pick for Jets DE Sheldon Richardson, and 7th round pick:
A blockbuster trade happened yesterday. Seahawks traded WR Jermaine Kearse who the team had had for a long time for Jets on and off talent Sheldon Richardson. The Seahawks really had no need for Kearse as they had Doug Baldwin at WR1 and then Tyler Lockett, Paul Richardson, and preseason breakout Kasen Williams at WR. Kearse wasn't playing better than any of them so he had to go. The Hawks got in return a great young talent that could make the Seahawks front 7 unbeatable. Richardson was the defensive rookie of the year, a pro bowler, and has been a beastly player for the Jets. Add him to the Seahawks front 7 and pair him with Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett. Thats scary. A fair trade for both sides as the Jets were in DESPERATE need of a WR and Kearse could easily be the Jets new WR1.

Roberto Aguayo, K Cut:
Roberto Aguayo's stint with the Bears didn't last long. After Aguayo was cut for the Bucs after a bad preseason and a horrible 2016 season the Bears picked Aguayo up right away to see if he could beat out the teams starting kicker and become a great kicker like he was in college. It didn't work out and the Bears have cut Aguayo. He may not have another chance in the NFL.

WR's Victor Cruz, Travis Rudolph, Chris Harper all cut:
3 promising receivers were all surprisingly cut. Victor Cruz was a stud before a big injury on the Giants, the Bears signed him to try and find the old Cruz, they couldn't find it and he was cut. Travis Ruldolph became a Giants preseason fan favorite after some big plays but ended up being cut after the Giants decided to keep some other receivers. Chris Harper was playing very well in Jets practices and I had hope for him. I thought he could possibly do something for the Jets. Nope. He was cut.

Browns trade 6th round pick to Steelers for WR Sammie Coates and 7th round pick

(I will be updated this as things happen) Other notable cuts: RB Chris Johnson, RB Tim Hightower, QB Matt Barkley, QB Joe Webb, LB Sean Spence, P Will Monday, QB Garrett Gilbert, RB Matt Jones, QB Brandon Weeden, QB Brad Kaaya, DT Ahtyba Rubin, RB Alex Collins, RB Jeremy McNichols, LB Ben Boulware, WR Jeremy Kerley, WR Rod Streater

Thanks for reading about most of the big moves and more news will be coming.
