Week 2 Fantasy Starts and Sits

Hi, week 1 is over and its already time for week 2. I'm going to dive right into the starts:

Brandin Cooks, WR, Saints: Cooks is going to be one of the best players in this league. Last week he lead all receivers with 27 points. He is pass happy Drew Brees' favorite target and he is one of the fastest players in the league. Cooks also set a new team record this season with the longest score in team history catching and running a 98 yard touchdown. Cooks is a WR1/WR2 that can easily destroy the Giants corners even though they are good.

DeMarco Murray, RB, Titans: Murray had an excellent kickoff to his season scoring 17 points in regular leagues. Murray was used as more of a pass catcher but this week watch him score A LOT of points. Murray can destroy defenses with his great O-line. Murray is a low end RB1 but a great RB2/FLEX.

Eli Manning, QB, Giants: Manning is set for a good week. After leading the Giants to a week 1 victory, Manning is set for another great week. The Saints D was the worst in the league last year and they still don't have any corners which will make it hard to contain top 2 WR Odell Beckham Jr. And company. When Manning and the Giants faced the Saints last year Manning scored a crazy 38 points in standard leagues! That's insane! Odell Beckham should have a 2 TD game and Manning will throw for a lot of touchdowns. Also another start is Saints QB Drew Brees.

SLEEPER: Jack Doyle, TE, Colts: Okay, you might not want to start the no. 2 TE on the Colts, Jack Doyle, but if you're looking for a risk, Doyle could do great. Last week Doyle was the no. 1 tight end in the league but that was because he caught two TD passes from Andrew Luck. Doyle is a huge risk if you are starting him but it COULD really pay off if he has another week like last week. Doyle won't be covered by no. 1 defenders because starting TE Dwayne Allen will get them. Again, Doyle could have a great week but he is a risk so don't be mad at me if he scores one point this week because I said its a risk.

SITS:

Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks: Wilson is playing against the Rams despite injuring his ankle in the the last game. Wilson didn't play great week 1 even though the Seahawks won. Give Wilson this week to recover and then put him in next week. Plus the Rams always for some reason give the Seahawks trouble so I wouldn't start Wilson for that reason also.

Broncos Defense: Sure they're the best D in the league, but there going up against one of the best offenses in the league. The Colts QB Andrew Luck had a down year last year, being hurt for most of it, but now he is back and better than ever, last week he threw for a bunch of touchdowns and 35 fantasy points in most fantasy leagues. Luck and his pass happy offense will be a challenge for the Broncos D, boasting WR's T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief and TE's Dwayne Allen and breakout Jack Doyle. The Broncos D should not be in your lineup this week.

Julian Edleman, WR, Patriots: Edleman is one of the most overrated players in this league. He wasn't AMAZING last week and with Jimmy Garapollo at QB, who knows what will happen. Edleman and his Patriots are up against the seemingly easy Dolphins but they put the Seahawks in trouble last week and almost took the game. Edleman is not a great bet for this week.

Thanks for reading and I hope you're fantasy teams do well.

League MVP Candidates

Hi, today I decided to post about predictions and possibilities for who could win the biggest award, League MVP. Here is some news that Antonio Brown and the Steelers restructure his contract for lots more money and Steelers also claim QB Zach Mettenberger. Here is the candidates:

Eli Manning, QB, Giants: Manning had a great year last year and coming onto a year with Odell Beckham, Victor Cruz back, and a rookie addition in Sterling Shepard, Manning could have the best receiver trio in the league. I forgot to also mention WR4 Dwayne Harris who was also a great contribution to the team last year. Why not? Manning looks like he is in good shape and he has been playing so well lately, he has a good chance of winning the award.

Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings: The Vikings were already a run first team, last year they averaged the least amount of pass attempts but now with starting QB Teddy Bridgewater out for the season and 36 year old QB Shaun Hill probably getting the start, the Vikings will run the ball A LOT. Maybe the most in the league. This could be the year for Peterson where he breaks the single season rushing record and wins league MVP. It seems very possible for Peterson to take home the award this year.

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers: Rodgers is the favorite to win MVP. His best receiver Jordy Nelson is coming back and Rodgers looks better than ever. With the Packers having an easy schedule, he has a chance to win the Super Bowl and take home the big award. He is super likely to win the award and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he won it.

J.J. Watt, DE, Texans: If J.J. Watt doesn't miss too much time from his back injury, he has a real shot at it. Another dominate year could lead him to his fourth defensive player of the year award in a row, it would be hard to not give him the award after winning the Defensive Player of the Year award 4 years in a row. Watt is a top candidate for the award.

Those are my top candidates to win the award, here are some other possible winners: Odell Beckham Jr. WR Giants, Antonio Brown WR Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger QB Steelers, Russell Wilson QB Seahawks, Ezekiel Elliott RB Cowboys, Todd Gurley RB Rams.
