My Way Too Early Fantasy Rankings Part 3 Kickers and Defenses

Hi, before I get into the last part of my My Way Too Early Fantasy Rankings I just want to tell you someone quick news. First Joe Flacco signs with the Ravens for a long contract extension, Tom Brady signs a 2 year contract extension with the Patriots and Brady hopes to play for 10 more years. CRAZY RIGHT? Also after 11 seasons, the Falcons cut WR Roddy White who has had the teams most receiving yards and TD's in Falcons WR history! I am surprised that they cut him. The 49ers also re-signed RB Shaun Draughn. Also the Patriots cut two good players, Scott Chandler and Brandon LaFell. A lot happened today in signing and releasing but I am most surprised that the Falcons cut veteran WR Roddy White! Now to the Rankings:

Kickers:
1. Stephen Gostkowski
2. Josh Brown
3. Steven Hauschka
4. Justin Tucker
5. Cairo Santos

Why: Most people might think, Kickers aren't a very important fantasy football position. I am here to tell you it is. For most of the fantasy season this season I had kicker Cairo Santos and he scored my team a lot of points! Let's start with Stephen Gostkowski. He has been the best kicker for the last few years and I think he will keep it up this upcoming year. Gostkowski scored 10+ points for a lot of weeks this season and I think he is a really great kicker who will score like a mediocre WR, if you want a high scoring kicker, Gostkowski is the one to have. Josh Brown had a breakout kicking season on the Giants. He made the Pro Bowl and had multiple 10+ point games. Brown is a good kicker who could score better than a top WR some weeks. Steven Hauschka has always been a pretty great kicker for the Seahawks. This season Steven Hauschka lead the team in scoring points and he made pretty long field goals. You want this good accurate kicker kicking for your fantasy team. Justin Tucker didn't have a great season but he is still the most accurate field goal kicker in the NFL. That will do you well if you want a kicker that makes most field goals. Finally Cairo Santos is probably a player you have never heard of, but he is really great. He had 2 20+ point games, a lot of 10+ point games this season also. Santos is a good kicker who had a great year!

Defense:
1. Broncos D
2. Panthers D
3. Chiefs D
4. Seahawks D
5. Cardinals D

Why: D is a bigger part of fantasy football than most positions. Defense was really great this year in fantasy and if you had a top D, than you were happy with winning most of your fantasy games. Broncos D was the no. 1 D this year. They have 2 of the top cornerbacks in the NFL right now and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller. They also have DeMarcus Ware who is amazing and more other great defenders. The Broncos have top D players and you will want them in fantasy because I can see them having a great defensive year again! Panthers D was also great, with Luke Kuechly and Josh Norman leading them and then with other underrated stars who broke out this year, you want the Panthers D for a productive year with the top MLB and CB in the NFL. Chiefs D had a breakout defensive year having many 12+ point games with all of their amazing defenders stepping up. They have an amazing young D that will have a great year next year and you will want them in fantasy against any opponent. The Seahawks have always had a pretty great D, this year their D fell down a little but by the end of the season it was playing great again. I can't even name all of the defensive stars on the Seahawks but I think they are going to have yet another amazing defensive year this upcoming year. If you have a chance to get Seahawks D, do it! Cardinals D also had a great season. They had some 30 point games and some 4 point games but all in all they had a great year. If you want a defense that no one is thinking about, steal it with a high pick and it will be rewarding!  Bad upcoming year: Patriots D  Sleeper D: Jets  Deep Sleeper D: Ravens  Top 6.: 6. Rams D

Well that is that for my way to early fantasy position rankings and I hope you liked it. I will have more posts coming up very soon about news happening in the NFL!
