Introducing Beat the Blogger!

Hi, today I am going to introduce something that won't happen for awhile but I want to make people aware of it:

As we all know, fantasy football is one of the most fun things for football lovers to do during the season. Its also fun beating your friends. Do you know what is the best though? Beating someone who knows a lot about football! I am going to be making a league this season for fantasy called Beat the Blogger. I will be in the league and I am going to start this league and if you want to join and try to beat me then go ahead thats the point. If you comment your ESPN fantasy info or email me it, I can add you into my league where I will have my readers going against me in fantasy football to see if they can win the league championship. I am really excited to announce it and play against my readers who will probably end up beating me because I get very un-lucky in fantasy :) :(
If you do manage winning the league, I will make a whole post at the end of the year explaining your run to the win and how your team was so good. I will talk about all the players of your winning team. The league will be full at 8-10 players so act fast! This is going to be so fun and I'm excited to see if anyone can beat me!!!!

Email me @ Jkdaboss12@gmail.com to say you want to join

First Fantasy Mock Draft for 17'

Hi, even though we have a ways to go before football season, let alone fantasy football season, I am going to be making my first fantasy football mock draft of the season and I will be competing against real people so I won't get my DREAM team. It is an 8 team mock draft. Here it is:

Even though I didn't have the first pick for your information the first pick was: David Johnson, RB, Cardinals

PICKS:
Rd. 1, 3rd overall: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys
Rd. 2, 14th overall: Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars
Rd. 3, 19th overall: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans
Rd. 4, 30th overall: Golden Tate, WR, Lions
Rd. 5, 35th overall: Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers
Rd. 6, 45th overall: Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs
Rd. 7, 51st overall: Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks
Rd. 8, 62nd overall: Delanie Walker, TE, Titans
Rd. 9, 67th overall: Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals
Rd. 10, 78th overall: Broncos D/ST
Rd. 11, 83rd overall: DeSean Jackson, WR, Redskins
Rd. 12, 94th overall: Justin Tucker, K, Ravens
Rd. 13, 99th overall: Derek Carr, QB, Raiders
Rd. 14, 110th overall: John Ross, WR, Bengals
Rd. 15, 115th overall: Adrian Peterson, RB, Saints
Rd. 16, 126th overall: Evan Engram, TE, Giants
Analysis:

I'm happy with this draft. My first round pick was 3rd overall and I got the player that I would have picked if I had the no. 1 pick. Zeke was a monster as a rookie and now that he is experienced, he might be somehow better. Fournette is going to be part of that trio of running backs, Zeke, Le'Veon, and David Johnson after this year because I think he will be elite. Hopkins could end up sucking, but I think him and DeShaun Watson will rekindle Hopkins and Brian Hoyer's relationship. Tate was a good second receiver to have but I wouldn't start him likely. McCaffrey looks like he may have a historic season coming his way so I had to grab him for a flex role. When Tyreek Hill was exposing defenses last season, I kept wishing I had him, I made sure to grab up the explosive triple threat. Russell Wilson is consistently an elite fantasy QB making the choice obvious. Almost all the good tight ends were gone at this point making it clear that Walker was a good pickup. Joe Mixon has a chance to become elite if he can put his troublesome past behind his back. The Broncos D has been one of the best in the league for the last few years and I took them here. DeSean Jackson could be an elite backup receiver because I could see him flying past defenses with his new great QB in Tampa Bay. Justin Tucker is an MVP kicker who puts up elite numbers in fantasy for a kicker. Derek Carr has fallen on fantasy boards just because of his injury from last season, before that he was an MVP candidate. John Ross was my favorite player in college football and I couldn't resist on this pick. A.P. could end up being a steal if he puts up as good numbers as he did years ago. My final pick was a promising rookie tight end that will be an instant starter for the Giants in a pass happy offense.

Thanks for reading and that is my first fantasy mock of the year!!!! MANY MORE TO COME!

New Teams, New Stats?

Hi, with the best players in free agency pretty much gone, how will some of the veteran backs do with their new teams. Here it is:

Adrian Peterson, SAINTS:
A.P. was going to be the hottest player in free agency I thought, then it took him weeks to muster up a bad, small deal with the Saints to be likely their backup RB. I think A.P. will play well if he is healthy and once he shows that, he will easily become the starter over Mark Ingram. I think Peterson will have a good season with the Saints even though they are more of a pass happy team.

LeGarrette Blount, EAGLES:
I didn't see this coming, I thought Blount was either signing with the Giants or Patriots. Blount is the first POWER back this team will have in awhile. Ryan Matthews will likely lose the starting gig to Blount as Blount looked elite last season when he lead the NFL with 18 TDs. Blount should be one of the best running backs playing for a new team.

Marshawn Lynch, RAIDERS:
I think Lynch will end up being happy that he came out of retirement to play for the Raiders. Their O-line will be the best he's played for yet in his career and he doesn't look very washed up yet even at age 31. He will likely be that bruising back we all remember but this time he will be in silver and black.

Jamaal Charles, BRONCOS:
I think Charles is going to be bad. First of all, he gets injured WAY too much making me skeptical he will even play much, and when he does, he will be assuming the backup role to C.J. Anderson who the Broncos really like. This was a bit of a strange move to me because I don't think Charles is that promising also he wasn't even the best RB still open on the market.

Eddie Lacy, SEAHAWKS:
This one really depends. If his weight is just perfect so he can run well and truck hard but not have issues then he will be good, otherwise he won't. There are lots of sources saying Lacy will get the starting job in Seattle but I personally think Thomas Rawls will. Lacy can be elite, but I'm still not sure if he will even start.

Thanks for reading about how I think some of these running backs will do on their new teams!

On the Road: Ryan Fitzpatrick

Hi, today I am doing a longer post and this one is about QB Ryan Fitzpatrick in honor of his signing with the Buccaneers and his crazy career of so many different teams. Here it is:

Most NFL players in their careers play for 1 or 2 teams. Then theres Ryan Fitzpatrick who as of a few days ago is moving on to his SEVENTH! SEVENTH!!! NFL TEAM in his career. Thats a lot of different teams. I am going to talk about his long and crazy ride so far in this league.
Rams 05'-07': In 2005, Fitzpatrick's long NFL career began. The Rams drafted him in the 7th round of the draft. Fitzpatrick had a great college career at Harvard and was ready to take his game to the next level in the NFL. His first game was great. He stepped in for the injured starter and in his first career game ever, he lit up the Texans in an epic comeback. He threw for 310 yards and 3 TDs! That was good enough to give him the teams nod for the next 3 starts. He didn't play well in those games
and got replaced by the once injured QB.
Bengals 07'-09': Eventually, Fitz was traded to the Bengals. Bengals QB Carson Palmer got injured a few games into the season giving Fitz the starting nod for the rest of the season where he had a phenominol season RUSHING and passing.
Bills 09'-12': Fitzpatrick eventually after the Bengals became a free agent and signed onto the Bills where he would have arguably the best part if his career so far. A few games into the season, the
pattern continued as the starting QB got hurt, Fitz came in, played well and started the next few games. Later in 2009 the Bills coach named Fitz officially the teams' starting QB. Fitz was decent but
managed to get the Bills a 6-10 record.
The next season Fitzpatrick was named the backup QB on the team but after the Bills went 0-2 to start off the season, Fitz was announced starter. His best game of the season was a 49-31 crazy comeback game vs the Bengals. He lead his team from a 17 point deficit to win the game by A LOT! Fitz had 4 TDs on the day and 310 yards passing.
In 2011, Fitz had an insane year. In week 2 of the season, on 5 drives in a row he lead his team to 5 TDs! In that year Fitz won AFC Offensive Player of the Month in September. Later that year, Fitz signed a HUGE deal which was a 5 year, $59 million dollar deal. He looked like the Bills franchise QB. He played really well the rest of the season with a few 300 yard performances but soon after the season was over, Fitz had broken ribs which was really the start to his fall in his career. After his poor 2012 the team released him.
Titans 13': Fitz went on to the next team of his career, the Titans. Titans QB Jake Locker got injured a few weeks into the season giving Fitz that starting nod. Fitz was decent and lead his team to a 3-6 record when he was a starter. He had 14 TDs and 2500 yards throwing but also 12 interceptions. He was released in the off-season of 2014.
Texans 14': When Fitz signed a deal with the Texans, he was named starter but only to be later demoted to backup. In November 2014, starter Ryan Mallet got injured leaving Fitz the spot. Fitz had a perfect game the next week with a team record 6 TDs with NO INTERCEPTIONS. Later in his decent season, Fitz himself got injured and was out for the season. He was 6-6 that season playing QB and threw for about 2500 yards, 8 ints, and 17 TDs.
Jets 15'-16': This was the next step in Fitz's illustrated career, and it would end up being a good step.
Fitz was traded to the Jets in the off-season for a late round pick. Fitz was expected to be the back-up on the team until Jets player Ik Enemkpali punched starting QB Geno Smith in the jaw ending his season with a broken jaw. Fitz was named the starter for week 1. Fitz had the best season of his career here. Fitz lead the Jets to a 10-6 record, 1 game short of a playoff berth. He threw for 3905 yards, 31 TDs, and only 15 interceptions. He broke the team record for most TDs in a season. The Jets beat some quality teams that season like the Patriots. Fitz looked like an ELITE QB for the first time in his career. He even fended off once starter Geno Smith.
After his amazing 2015 season, Fitz was after all a free agent and he wanted to get PAID A LOT! As most of the top name QBs like Brock Osweiler were signed, but Fitz stayed on the market, wanting to get paid a lot basically holding out. Finally with only a few weeks left before the 2016 season begun, the Jets signed Fitzpatrick to a 1 year, $12 million dollar deal, all money fully guranteed. Fitz started the season out decent, he was the un-questioned starter but in week 3 was the end of his short reign in New York. He threw 6 interceptions vs the Chiefs! 6! WHAT THE HECK! Fitz was benched for Geno Smith in the next week but Smith got hurt so Fitz came back and continued to stink. By the end of the season, Fitz looked like an old, horrible, overpaid player after throwing so many INTS, not many TDs, and kept getting hurt. The Jets voided his contract and Fitz became a free agent once again.
Buccaneers 17'-PRESENT: Finally Fitzpatrick was signed. The Buccaneers gave Fitz a small deal to backup young QB Jameis Winston who has been very healthy through his first 2 seasons in the league giving Fitz likely the first team of his career where he hasn't played for an injured player yet. Fitz is not TO old at 34 years but his window is likely over for playing as well as he did in his first year with the Jets and his great year with the Bills. His playing days are pretty much over but what a career of moving teams its been for Fitzpatrick. He's had some ups but a LOT more downs in his career but I think Fitz deserved a career tribute post so we can all know how many teams he's been through. His career isn't over yet, but I don't know if he will honestly ever take a snap again.

Kap to Seattle? Will it Happen?

Hi, today I will talk about a topic that has been coming up a lot lately and here it is right away. Some quick news that the Buccaneers sign veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Here it is:

Two years back, if someone said that in the near future, Russ Wilson and Colin Kap, 2 young elite QBs would be on the same team, people would laugh in my face. Now it is almost certainly going to happen. There have been so many headlines about this that I thought I just finally have to give my take on it for all you guys. Kap was an elite QB just a few years back. He lead his 49er team to actually have a chance in their division against THE RIVAL SEAHAWKS. Now it looks like he may be joining forces with the rival team. Kap was good like I said, then an injury and playing issues came into hand forcing the 49ers to give Blaine Gabbert the starting job. Over the course of the last year, Kap has tried regaining his starting role with the 49ers but it hasn't worked and he has been halfway decent over the last year with the Niners. Finally when the season was over, the Niners had
had enough of Kap's mediocre play and his sitting down at the national anthem. He was off the team and sent into the free agency pool for the first time in his career. Now, months into free agency, Kap is still sitting and waiting. Over the last few days though, talks have picked up. As the draft has been recently completed, teams are now looking to fill the positions they didn't in the draft. The Hawks are for sure reason on a desperate rampage to find a backup QB like they don't trust elite QB Russell Wilson or don't think he is healthy. The rumors of Kaepernick to the Seahawks have been all-lot lately and Coach Carroll said it was defenitly a possibility. The the Seahawks players have started chiming in. First Michael Bennett, then Cliff Avril, most recently Richard Sherman. The players have said they are hoping the Seahawks sign him because they think he is a great player and want him on the team. There isn't much holding the Hawks back right now from pulling the trigger on Kap. He is probably waiting for an offer from them. He would fit well, he would be a great backup to have because if Wilson went down they would have a young guy who can still ball out and they can trust him with the ball and the team. I think the Hawks should go for him, it would be fun.

Ceiling, Floor for Each Team

Hi, today I will be making a floor, ceiling prediction for every team. A ceiling is the best a team can/will do, a floor is the worst a team could do. Its a best/worst scenario kind of thing. Here it is:

All-Free Agent Team

Hi, there aren't many gems left in free agency but I'm building a team of the best players avaliable just incase some teams are looking around for players they should sign. Here it is:

QB: Colin Kaepernick:
Kap is still only a few years removed of his elite seasons. The Seahawks are reportedly interested in their teams former rival QB. Kap has shown flashes of greatness in the last year and could be a quality backup at this stage in free agency.

RB: LeGarrette Blount: (UPDATE: BLOUNT SIGNED A 1 YEAR DEAL WITH THE EAGLES)
Blount is only ONE year removed from LEADING the NFL in TOUCHDOWNS! 18 TDs is a lot of TDs, especially for an RB that is still somehow a free agent. Blount will likely either sign with the Giants or the Patriots.

WR: Victor Cruz:
Cruz can still ball. Despite playing a WR3 role in New York last season, Cruz still managed 500+ receiving yards. It could have been 1000 had he had a bigger role in the offense. Apparently Cruz is not close to done playing and just really really wants to play anywhere. He has a lot of visits with teams coming soon.

WR: Anaquan Boldin:
Boldin is old, but he looked like he could really ball last season. The Lions used him well and I think if he can get another great role like he did in Detroit maybe he will show out again. This could be a great signing in the end.

TE: Gary Barnidge:
Another recently removed situation, Barnidge is one year removed from a season where he was considered an elite tight end in football and actually gave the Browns a great reliable target. If Barnidge was as good this past season, he would be headed back to the Browns.

BEST O-LINEMAN: Nick Mangold, C:
The former Jets star center Nick Mangold could end up being a steal on the market. An O-line needy team may pony up a deal for Nick and he could maybe become elite again at his position. This could be fun.

DE: Jared Odrick:
Odrick is still young which is what makes him an intriguing player at the position. Odrick has great potential and I think he has a shot at becoming a top D-lineman on the team he goes to.

DT: Vince Wilfork:
I would sign him in a heartbeat. Maybe a future hall of famer, Wilfork is a legendary player and would just be a fun player to have in the locker room. I would sign.

LB: DeAndre Levy:
Levy a few years back was considered elite at his position...WHAT HAPPENED? Age is the obvious answer but still only 30 years old, Levy still has a lot of football left in him. He deserves to be signed.

LB: Dwight Freeney:
Freeney is old but I am a big fan of him. He is a super great person to have in the locker room, the potential future hall of famer may not be the most effective on the field but he is great to have around young learning players. Did you see his positive impact on a young Falcons D last season?

CB: Tramaine Brock:
Brock is still young at corner and I think he could become elite. He could likely become a starter fast because he has some good skills. He is the best corner on the market.

CB: Darrelle Revis:
Revis may be old and washed up, but he is a future hall of famer that many teams would likely want to have. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get signed and retires but I also wouldn't be surprised if he got signed.

S: Isa Abdul-Quddus:
Quite a name but he is also quite a safety. Quddus is still young and he was actually decent last year for the Dolphins. I think Quddus could honestly step in as a starting safety for any team.

K: Dan Carpenter:
Carpenter is one of the few free agent kickers still left and he is the only one with experience and could play.

P: Brock Miller:
I've never heard of Miller until I realized he is the only punter left in free agency. I don't even know if he can really play...

Thanks for reading about this team of free agents.

Madden 18 Cover Runner-Ups

Hi, today NFL's video game, Madden released the player who will be on the cover of their latest version of Madden, its Tom Brady :(. There was no voting or anything but today I will be posting about other players that could have also been good cover choices for fun. Sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. Here it is:

Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys:
I was honestly a bit surprised it wasn't Elliott on the cover. He deserved it after a crazy rookie season and I feel like everyone is rooting for him in the NFL. He is probably the most popular player in football and he could have made a fun cover for the game.

Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys:
Dak won rookie of the year this year after a surprising great season. The 4th round pick stepped in for Tony Romo and ended up driving him at of Big D. Prescott is also one of those players that almost everyone knows now and he is maybe the most popular player in the league other than maybe Zeke or now cover athlete Tom Brady. He would have looked good on the cover.

Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons:
They don't do this much, but maybe putting the NFL MVP on the cover would make sense. Ryan had a great season getting his team the title of Super Bowl runner ups and he won MVP himself. It would be a fun cover to see because you wouldn't think to see Ryan on the cover of the game ever a year or two back in time. I would have been pumped for Ryan on the cover.

Marshawn Lynch, RB, Raiders:
The Madden world would have been shocked if Lynch was put on the cover but its one of those things that could have happened. Lynch was an elite RB in the league a few years ago, at a young age of under 30 years old Lynch decided to hang up his cleats for good...until this past month he decided to come out of retirement to play for his hometown Oakland Raiders. This would have been a fun one.

Vic Beasley, LB, Falcons:
This would be another really fun one. The 2015 1st round pick developed into a big star in his 2nd year leading the NFL in sacks. No one totally saw this coming and I thought that Beasley deserved to win Defensive Player of the Year. It would have been cool to see him get some recoginition for his achievement of leading the league in sacks.

Landon Collins, S, Giants:
Another 2nd year breakout, the former 2nd round pick broke out this year and became a top candidate for Defensive Player of the Year. He lead the league in picks and emerged and elite safety. The world would be shocked, but excited to see Collins take the cover.

Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs:
I am just going crazy with these shocking picks, but this one would be the most surprising yet. Barely a top 10 receiver in the league, the blazing rookie speedster receiver and returner broke onto the scene in his rookie year and exposed so many defenders this season. I would have been so excited to see Hill getting recognized as such an explosive player by getting the cover.

LeGarrette Blount, RB, FREE AGENT:
I would loved to have seen the NFLs TD leader make the cover. Some how after that monster season of his where he wouldn't go down for anyone, he still isn't signed yet. The Patriots and Giants are likely candidates to end up getting him. It would have been fun to see him on the cover even though the chances were low.

Thanks for reading and those are some of the many players I would have enjoyed seeing on the Madden cover.

Week 13            Browns Vs. Chargers        Phillip Rivers                     .5 sacks
Week 14            Browns Vs. Packers          Aaron Rodgers                   1.5 sacks
Week 15            Browns Vs. Ravens           Joe Flacco                          0 sacks
Week 16            Browns Vs. Bears             ?(likely Mike Glennon)      1 sack
Week 17            Browns Vs. Steelers          Ben Roethlisberger             1 sack

FINAL SACKS: 13.5:
While this is a bold prediction and the Browns are know for drafting busts, I think it will be different this time. Garrett has too good skills to go as a bust. 13.5 sacks could lead the league but I seriously think Garrett will be a monster and he will likely win DROY for this!

Thanks for reading and I will have more posts like this in the future. Comment rookies you want to see in these posts and what stat you want me to look at!

All-Backup Skill Position Team

Hi, today for fun I thought I would make a team of the best backups at some of the skill positions in the league. A skill position is like receiver or QB because they are big deals unlike non-skill positions like O-line. Here it is:

QB: Jimmy Garopollo, Patriots:
The best backup QB in the league is headlining this team. He was a big candidate for trade this off-season because in the few games he played this season he looked starting QB quality. To be fair, he learned from the best! He would be a great QB for the all-backup team.

RB1: Tevin Coleman, Falcons:
Coleman was close to elite this past season...as a backup RB! Coleman is a versatile young back that could carry this all backup team. He would be a great starter I think.

RB2: Derrick Henry, Titans:
Even though he haven't seen much of Henry in the NFL yet. The former Heisman winning bruising back could likely be a great running back for a team. Eventually he will likely become the starter in Tennessee but he is a tackle breaking machine and I think he will be a great addition to the all-backup team.

WR1: Tyreek Hill, Chiefs:
The speedy WR2 from the Chiefs would be the perfect fit for the all-backup team. This team needs a blazing fast receiver that has great hands and I think Hill would thrive catching long balls from Jimmy Garopollo.

WR2: Tyrell Williams, Chargers:
Williams had a surprising 1000 yard season last year putting him on the radar of many teams. I think Williams may have great success on the all-backup team and maybe could tally another 1000 yard season.

WR3: Taylor Gabriel, Falcons:
Gabriel had a breakout year in a backup role on the Falcons this year. He really helped Matt Ryan become MVP and he is a speedy receiver that any team would want. He will be a great complement to Ty Williams and Tyreek on this team.

TE: Jack Doyle, Colts: Doyle was a solid backup tight end this past season for the Colts. He was actually decent in fantasy and was a great secondary target for Andrew Luck instead of the teams TE1. Doyle will be a good big target for the backup-team.

CB1: Chris Harris, Broncos:
An elite corner somehow made this list. The Broncos are so talented that their CB2 is even elite. He will be a defensive force for this team.

CB2: Casey Hayward, Chargers:
This seasons interception leader came out of nowhere. After a bad year with the Packers, the random free agent signing turned into an elite corner on the Chargers.

CB3: DeShawn Shead, Seahawks:
Shead has been good for the last 2 seasons and he has earned himself on the all-backup team no doubt. He has actually been a lockdown corner.

Thanks for reading and this is the ALL-BACKUP TEAM!

Best Free Agents still Un-signed

Hi, today I will be talking about who I think are the best free agents that still are un-signed because there is still some talent for sure:

LeGarrette Blount, RB: Blount looks like he has a good chance at getting an offer from the New York Giants where the powerback will likely start and I think thats a great move. Why does no one want the RB who lead the league with 19 TDs last season? The Pats got too many extra RBs to take Blount back so I think that if Blount doesn't get signed, I don't know what more you have to do because 19 TDs is pretty darn amazing! Its looking like Giants or bust for Blount.

Erik Walden, LB: The veteran LB should be signed by now. He had 11 sacks last season! 11! Thats a crazy amount and anyone who does that should get PAID! Even a 1 year deal for a 31 year wouldn't be bad because he can probably still play and 1 year isn't too much cash for your team. Walden will be a steal pickup for any team that picks up the breakout veteran.

Ego Furgeson, DE: Even though he hasn't put up huge numbers doesn't mean he will. The young player is only 25 and coming into his 3rd year into the league. He didn't play much in Chicago and since he's so young he should get a chance to play somewhere else.

Dwight Freeney, LB: This isn't a no-brainer signing or anything but Freeney would be a nice pickup for any defense. The potential future hall of famer would be a pickup for any team that I would be running. Even though he is pretty old, he can still play a bit. He had 3 sacks last season but what excites me most about him is he is such a leader on any team he plays for. He can teach all the young guys what to do. I think it would be a good pickup for the Browns to help even teach young Myles Garrett.

Tramaine Brock, CB: Sometimes I don't understand why some players are still sitting on the market and this is one of them. Brock has been a quality corner for the 49ers last season he even had 10+ passes defended and an interception. Not bad. At least in my opinion. I'm surprised to see the young guy still on the market.

Tre Boston, S: Even though he hasn't been amazing, he has been a decently good safety for the Panthers and lets not forget that he's 24! 24! Thats so young. He can learn from his mistakes and make his play on the field better by looking at what he did wrong. Boston is a great player and I won't be surprised if he gets his deal.

Gary Barnidge, TE: Barnidge is just one year removed of his insane top tight end season, how he is a free agent. As of last week he was still on the Browns until the Browns drafted TE David Njoku rd. 1 and cut the veteran. Barnidge can still ball and I could see a TE needy team snatch Barnidge to be their no. 2 or even no. 1 at the position.

Colin Kaepernick, QB: He is probably the last QB on the market to maybe have a chance at starting again and maybe even becoming elite again. He is still 29 and I think if he gets onto a team, he may be able to compete for the starting job and possibly take it. I wouldn't be to surprised if the Browns threw him into the mix and maybe gave him a chance at QB. He deserves another chance.

Larry Donnell, TE: The former Giants TE is still very young and looks like he could become a great tight end. This may be attractive to some teams still looking for a tight end. I think Donnell could be good but he wasn't be used right in New York and maybe another team would target him more.

Victor Cruz, WR: He sounds like he wants to play desperately and he doesn't care where. Thats a good additude for a free agent. Cruz was actually impressive last season. After coming off of a big injury, Cruz was playing WR3/4 which means he would get the ball less than OBJ, Sterling Shepard, and the tight ends but he still managed 500+ yards. Give him some sort of role, maybe he could break 1000!

Darrelle Revis, CB: I had to fit him onto the list. The likely future hall of famer is still open due to some legal issues early this off-season. Revis has looked old and washed up lately and not the same firey corner that he was in New England a few years back. Still he could still be good and he is one of the biggest names left, I think he could rope in a team by week 1.

Thanks for reading about the best free agents still open. There are still some hidden gems.

All-Rookie Fantasy Team

Hi, even though the season is so far away and fantasy football is too, with the draft recently completed I'm going to make a fantasy football team of all rookies for future reference. Some big news that the Broncos sign RB Jamaal Charles to a one-year deal. Here it is:

STARTING LINEUP:

QB: Deshaun Watson, Texans
RB: Leonard Fournette, Jaguars
RB: Christian McCaffrey, Panthers
WR: John Ross, Bengals
WR: Corey Davis, Titans
TE: O.J. Howard, Buccaneers
FLEX (TE, RB, or WR): Mike Williams, WR, Chargers
K: Zane Gonzales, Browns

BENCH:
1. RB-Dalvin Cook, Vikings
2. WR-Dede Westbrook, Jaguars
3. WR-Zay Jones, Bills
4. QB-Chad Kelly, Broncos
5. TE-David Njoku, Browns
6. TE-Jordan Leggett, Jets:

Here is my fantasy rookie team. Starting at QB, D-Watson is likely the only QB in the draft who has a chance of playing this year. Tom Savage isn't great and when the Texans see that in action, they will make sure to give Watson the nod for the next few years. He could be productive. Leonard Fournette could be a fantasy point machine because I think the Jags will grind him. Christian McCaffrey will either be boom or bust. I think he will be a boom and I think he will get his fantasy owners a lot of points. John Ross is my favorite player coming into the league and I also think he will put up a lot of points even with A.J. Green's presence. Corey Davis will be good. He walks in as the WR1 on the team and I think he will get his owners some good points. OJ Howard will be an elite tight end in the whole league so its a good pick taking him here for fantasy. Mike Williams would be an elite flex player. Zane Gonzales is probably the only rookie kicker who will start but he looks really good so... The bench also looks great. Dalvin Cook could end up becoming a great start and a fantasy point machine. Dede Westbrook could also become an elite receiver if he plays. Zay Jones will be a top target in Buffalo and so it would be hard not to bring him onto the fantasy team. We have to have someone at backup QB and I like Chad Kelly even though he may have one of the longest shots at starting. David Njoku could also become a top target and then be a starting lineup quality player but we'll bench him for now. Jordan Leggett is one of my favorite sleepers in the draft because if he can slip into a starting role in New York, he could play a big role like he did for Clemson. This is the All-Rookie fantasy team and I'm starting to think this could actually be a team in real fantasy football that could win a lot of match-ups.

Top Offensive Rookie of the Year Candidates

Hi, with the whole new rookie class set in where they are going to play, here are my top candidates that I think will win Offensive Rookie of the year. I will do a defensive one too. Here it is:

11. Jordan Leggett, TE, Jets:
My number 11 pick had to be a sleeper and this is it. Leggett was a machine for Clemson and the Jets don't really have a starter at tight end giving Leggett a great shot to compete for the job. If he gets it he could be one of the biggest sleepers all season. This pick was an ace pick for the Jets because I think Leggett is a quality pass catcher with a small chance at rookie of the year.

10. Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars:
This was such a steal. Westbrook was a Heisman nominee last year as he caught so so many amazing balls and then beat everyone to the endzone. I think he could easily work his way into the starting receiver core and have an insane year.

9. Deshaun Watson, QB, Texans:
If Watson starts, he will likely move up a lot higher on this list but right now it looks like it could be a year before Watson gets the nod. It seems like the Texans like QB Tom Savage but I think if Watson starts he could be really good and QBs have an advantage in award races because they touch the ball every offensive play.

8. Mike Williams, WR, Chargers:
If Williams can take the no. 1 role away from Keenan Allen this could turn into an elite receiver story but I don't see it happening in year one for the 7th overall pick. Williams is a jump ball catching machine and I'm excited to see if he wins this award because like I said, he could turn elite.

7. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings:
Some people have Cook as their no. 1 option to win ROY but I think different. He will likely become starter a few weeks into the season when they see how much more talented he is than Latavius Murray. Once he starts he will have a good chance I just don't know how much I see it.

6. Zay Jones, WR, Bills:
Zay Jones was a great pick by the Bills and though he didn't put up as huge numbers as some of the first round receivers, I think he will convert well to the NFL. He will likely be the WR2 for the Bills and I think he could become Tyrod Taylor's favorite target and then he could have a monster season, giving him a good shot at OROY.

5. O.J. Howard, TE, Buccaneers:
Maybe the biggest steal of the draft, I would have the new Bucs starting TE higher but then again he's a TE competing with fast receivers and running backs. Even though he may be the most talented on the list, his position makes it hard for him to take the big award over some of the other players on this list. Still Howard will likely have a great year, and a chance at ROY.

4. John Ross, WR, Bengals:
I love this pick by the Bengals so much because Ross will be an amazing WR2. The 40 yard dash king will be the PERFECT complement for A.J. Green because he boasts speed and catching. Ross could climb the list if Andy Dalton targets him A LOT but I still think Green will get a majority of the balls thrown. Still, Ross has a great shot.

3. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals:
If Mixon doesn't do bad things off the field, which it seems like he won't because it seems he's grown since the incident, he can do great things. If Mixon can take the Bengals starting RB role, I can see him becoming an elite running back in the league. He will be great behind the Bengals quality O-line and I think he has a great shot at the award.

2. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers:
This was also one of my favorite picks in the draft! The RB needy Panthers snatched up the most versatile player in the draft in McCaffrey. He can play receiver and running back at high levels and can juke anyone so hard they will fall down. I'm excited to see him vs. Myles Garrett. McCaffrey has a great chance of rookie of the year.

1. Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars:
I knew from the second the commish read the card, that this was going to be a franchise changing move. Fournette will fit perfectly into this young offense and will likely have as good of a rookie year as Ezekiel Elliott last year. Fournette has a perfect combo of size and speed and that gives him the best shot of anyone at rookie of the year. I can see the Jags running the ball A LOT MORE this season.
