Hi, here is this weeks winners of the week post:
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Deshaun Watson, QB, Texans
Statline: 283 passing yards, 4 passing TDs, 24 rush yards, 1 rushing TD, 1 INT
In 4 weeks, Watson surprisingly becomes the 2nd rookie to win my blog's player of the week. The rook had been playing pretty well in his first few NFL games as a starting QB but the first round pick went OFF this week and showed that he may be the Texans franchise QB. Lets start with the insane fact that he had 5 total TDs. FIVE! FIVE! Thats unreal. It doesn't happen too often. A good week for most QBs is pretty much 3 TDs, Watson played even better. He lead the Texans to a huge win. His Russell Wilson-like ability to be able to be an effective scrambler and good at throws on the run makes him a LOT better and I think the Texans HAVE found their franchise QB. Lets not forget that the Titans are a really good football team who demolished a strong Seahawks team the week before. Watson made everyone forget as he almost single handedly carried the Texans to a 57-14 win over the Titans. I'm excited to watch Watson for the rest of the year and its a great start winning player of the week in just week 4.
TEAM OF THE WEEK: Seattle Seahawks (2-2)
Final Score: Seahawks 46, Colts 18
The Seahawks had a big rebound game after 3 bad weeks to start off the year and their game wins them TEAM OF THE WEEK! In the first half of the game, the score stayed pretty small, the Seahawks looked like their trashy-selves from the first few weeks, then the 2nd half was when they came out to play. Lets start with the amazing play of QB Russell Wilson. Russ had a great game. He threw for 295 yards and 2 TDs. He threw amazing accurate balls and scrambled very well and had an insane rushing TD. The bad O-line didn't matter, Wilson played GREAT! The receivers were all spot on and RB J.D. McKissic who I had never heard of had a breakout 2 great TD game. The defense was on another level. After a terrible game against the Titans, the D rebounded. They started with a beautifully read interception that turned into a pick-6. Then Bobby Wagner made the defensive play of the year recovering a fumble then breaking multiple tackles to get to the endzone and get the defensive TD. A lowpoint was starting RB Chris Carson got hurt and will be out most to all of the season. The Hawks entire team played well and they win team of the week for week 4.
