NEWS/WHAT WENT DOWN:
-Vikings look great in easy win over Bears, secure NFC 2 seed, will have first round BYE. Bears likely going to fire coach John Fox
-Juju Smith stars as Steelers hand Browns 16th loss of the season. 2nd team in NFL history to go 0-16. Will have picks no. 1 overall and no. 4 overall in upcoming draft. Keeping coach Hue Jackson (1-31) record as coach of Browns
-Cowboys beat Eagles in boring game, Eagles still secure NFC 1st seed and have a first round BYE
-Giants secure no. 2 pick in the draft even after winning, coaching search still going. Get 3rd win of season. Redskins expected to keep coach Jay Gruden despite bad recent seasons.
-Patriots easily beat Jets, take AFC 1 seed and first round BYE. Jets looking to rebuild this off-season, secure 6th pick in draft
-Colts easily beat Texans, after game fire coach Chuck Pagano. Colts secure 3rd overall pick in draft. Texans look horrible, would have 4th pick in draft if they didn't trade it to Browns last season.
-Lions beat Packers easily, show a little life, expected to keep coach Jim Caldwell. Lions secure pick 20 in draft. Packers finish bad season, secure 14th pick in draft.
-Blair Walsh may be worst player in NFL history. Misses another game winning field goal, Seattle misses playoffs for first time in 6 years. Cards look decent in win, had some help from some unfair ref calls. Hawks secure 18th pick in draft, Arizona gets pick 15. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians may retire or get fired.
-49ers easily beat Rams as they rest starters, Jimmy Garopollo caps amazing season, ends 5-0 as a starter. Garopollo is a free agent after the season. Niners will get 9th pick in draft. Rams take NFC 3 seed and will host Falcons next week in the wildcard round. RB Todd Gurley likely NFL MVP and Sean McVay likely coach of the year
-Chargers demolish Raiders, not enough to make playoffs though even after amazing season comeback from starting 0-4. Raiders fire promising coach Jack Del Rio, likely to go after all-time great coach John Gruden in attempt to get him out of retirement. Raiders secure pick 10 in draft.
-Patrick Mahomes has bad game starting in place of Alex Smith, Chiefs still win, secure AFC 4 seed. Will host Titans in playoff wildcard round. Broncos end horrible season, likely to fire 1st year head coach Vance Joseph. Broncos take pick 5 in NFL draft.
-Titans upset Jaguars, get AFC 5th seed playoff berth. Will play Chiefs in Kansas City next weekend in wildcard round. Jaguars secure AFC 3 seed, will host Bills in wildcard round.
-Buccaneers outlast Saints despite Alvin Kamara's great game, doesn't matter for Saints as they secure NFC 4 seed, will host Panthers in wildcard round next week, already beaten them twice this year. Bucs finish ugly season, will keep coach Dirk Koetter, take pick 7 in draft.
-Bills beat Dolphins and somehow end up in the playoffs!! Who saw that coming?! Bills will play in Jacksonville against the Jaguars next weekend in the wildcard round as their long playoff drought ends. Dolphins end horrid season, Jay Cutler likely will retire after this one.
-Bengals end Ravens playoff dreams, hard to believe but Ravens will miss the playoffs after I was almost SURE they would make it. Surprising day to see Bills and Titans make playoffs over hot teams like Ravens and Chargers. Bengals will have 12th pick in this draft.
-Falcons beat Panthers in slugfest game, secure NFC 6th seed. Will play Rams next week in L.A. Panthers still NFC 5 seed, will play Saints in New Orleans. NFC South has 3 playoff teams this year.

OPEN COACHING SPOTS:
Oakland Raiders: Fired Jack Del Rio, likely to sign all-time great John Gruden.

New York Giants: Fired Ben McAdoo weeks ago, still looking for new coahc

LIKELY STILL TO BE FIRED:
John Fox, Bears
Vance Joesph, Broncos
Marvin Lewis, Bengals
Bruce Arians, Cardinals (MAYBE WILL RETIRE)

Winners of the Week, Week 16

Hi, here is my weekly winners of the week post. Here it is:

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Todd Gurley, RB, Rams
Statline: 118 yards rushing, 158 yards, 2 TDs receiving, 276 all purpose yards
For the 2nd straight week, Todd Gurley is my blogs offensive player of the week. Todd Gurley builds on his amazing week last week with another insane week that could be even better. Gurley helped lead the Rams to a close win over the Titans that clinched them the NFC West divisional crown. Gurley the last few weeks has been just insane. He is racking up tons of yards receiving and rushing and many many TDs. Gurley in the last 2 weeks has not only entered the MVP race, but he is winning it right now. If I were to vote today for who wins MVP it would be Gurley. Gurley is also 222 yards away from becoming the 3rd player in NFL history to have at least 1000 yards rushing and 1000 yards receiving. Gurley would need that much in the last week of the season but still coming close at all is a huge accomplishment in a league where its becoming harder and harder to break onto the list. Gurley is not only the biggest bounce back player, he's looking like he's going to break the QB streak and become one of the only RBs to win MVP. Gurley has lead his Rams to this amazing season and I don't see this dominance coming to an end any time soon. Gurley for the 2nd week in a row is the blogs Offensive Player of the Week!

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mike Hilton, CB, Steelers
Statline: 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble
I have never talked about rookie CB Mike Hilton once before on my blog, but now he is the defensive player of the week. Hilton had a great game recording 3 sacks and a forced fumble. The reason this game was so great is 3 sacks is really good for any player in one game, but for a CB to do it its rare and Hilton is the first CB in NFL history to record 3+ sacks in a game. Hilton had a record breaking performance. 3 sacks is great for any player and so its great to see a CB finally do it. Adding in a forced fumble also is amazing. Hilton all around had an amazing game and he sweeps up week 16's defensive player of the week on my blog!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: San Fransisco 49ers (5-10)
Final Score: 49ers 44, Jaguars 33
After such an embarrassing start to the season, the Niners are now looking like the hottest team in football and potential deep playoff contenders for next season. The Niners really were having a bad season to start off, Brian Hoyer played badly, then rookie C.J. Beathard played badly and they really just didn't know what to do. Then right at the trade deadline the Niners pulled off a blockbuster deal to get Pats QB Jimmy Garopollo. They waited 2 weeks, then started him and since then, they've been on a roll. Garopollo is undefeated as a starter for the 49ers. This week was their real test, playing a hot Jaguars team boasting the best D in the league. It didn't matter, the Niners tore them to shreds and lit up their defense. Jimmy Garopollo played so well as did the rest of the offense. The defense let up a lot of points but not enough for the Niners to forget about their amazing 44 points they scored to kill the Jags. What a late season comeback the Niners have had and I expect them to be big playoff contenders next season. The Niners amazing game wins them team of the week on my blog!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Jimmy Garopollo, QB, 49ers: 242 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT passing
Damiere Byrd, KR, Panthers: 103 yard kickoff return TD, 143 yards total returning
Harrison Smith, S, Vikings: 2 INTs
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans: 65 yards, 1 TD (possibly player of the year TD)

TEAM OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
New Orleans Saints (11-4)
Carolina Panthers (11-4)
Seattle Seahawks (9-6)
Los Angeles Rams (11-4)
Kansas City Chiefs (9-6)

Winners of the Week, Week 15

Hi, here is my weekly winners of the week post:

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Todd Gurley, RB, Rams
Statline: 152 yards, 4 TDs rushing
Todd Gurley is having a really great bounce back season, and he has won his first player of the week award this season on my blog. Gurley had any players dream game, and it came at an unexpected time as the Rams were rare underdogs in one of the hardest enviornments in the NFL playing against the Seahawks in Seattle. Gurley wasn't fazed at all, he went off. He ran for a great 152 yards which any RB would be very happy with, but he also had an unfair 4 TDs. That may have been the best non-QB offensive performance of the year. In non-PPR fantasy Gurley racked up 41 fantasy points, enough to win any team their league championship. Gurley dominated a Seahawks D that is officially a bad defense without Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor. Gurley put his Rams in a 2 game lead for the division and now the Rams are the closest they've been in years to the playoffs. Gurley was named to his 2nd pro bowl this week and is closing out his amazing comeback season. While Gurley's great game had most people put him in the MVP conversation, I don't agree but still think Gurley is one of the best players in the league and he certainly proved that this week as he won my blogs offensive player of the week!

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Darius Slay, CB, Lions
Statline: 2 INTs
Slay is someone I almost never talk about on my blog for whatever reason, but he is one of the best CBs in the league and proved it this week when he picked off Bears' Mitchell Trubisky twice and won my blogs defensive player of the week! Slay, like Gurley is having quite the bounce back season as he is tied for the league lead in INTs and has cemented himself as a top CB. Darius Slay helped the Lions tremendously as he picked off the Bears twice to help the Lions keep a lead and go on to win 20-10 in a crucial playoff changing match for the Lions who are fighting to stay in the race. His 2nd pick iced the Lions win. Slay was named to his first pro bowl of his career this week and it is well deserved. Slay is my blogs defensive player of the week!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Los Angeles Rams (10-4)
Final Score: Rams 42, Seahawks 7
Todd Gurley was my blogs player of the week and his team brings in another weekly award. The Rams are my blogs team of the week. Coming into a week that meant so much to the NFC playoff picture, the Rams were rare underdogs heading into a hard match-up against the Seahawks in Seattle. The Rams played like they were playing the Browns or something. The entire team did its job and the Rams easily watched the Seahawks get smaller and smaller in their rearview mirror as they steamrolled them. Jared Goff had a modest game but he just had to facilitate the win which proved to be pretty easy for him. Todd Gurley as you know went off. The Rams receivers played well, Robert Woods had a bounce back from injury game. The O-line held up very well. The defense played phenomanally as they held lead MVP candidate Russell Wilson to one of his worst games of the year. A little more than 100 yards, a TD, and no INTs. They held him by pressuring him time and time again and sacking him a ton. Aaron Donald was to blame as he played amazingly and amassed a few sacks. Lets not forget about the special teams. Returner Pharoh Cooper had one of the best return games of the year and kickers and punters on the Rams did very well. The entire Ram team played amazing football and has put them in great position to make the playoffs and dominate. Right now my Super Bowl bet is Rams over Patriots so they have convinced me. The Rams had an amazing win and they are my blogs team of the week!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Marcus Peters, CB, Chiefs: 2 INTs
Keelan Cole, WR, Jaguars: 186 yards, 1 TD receiving
Rob Gronkowski, TE, Patriots: 168 yards receiving
Aaron Donald, DE, Rams: 3 sacks
Nick Foles, QB, Eagles: 237 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTs passing

TEAM OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
New England Patriots (11-3)
Philadelphia Eagles (12-2)
San Fransisco 49ers (4-10)
Kansas City Chiefs (8-6)
Carolina Panthers (10-4)

Week 15 Recap: CRAZY WEEK!

Hi, here is my weekly recap. Sorry that I haven't been posting much, I'm away and haven't had time for much so I am probably going to do a bunch of posts in the next day or 2. Here it is:

FINAL SCORES:
Broncos 25, Colts 13
Lions 20, Bears 10
Chiefs 30, Chargers 13
Saints 31, Jets 19
Redskins 20, Cardinals 15
Ravens 27, Browns 10
Panthers 31, Packers 24
Eagles 34, Giants 29
Jaguars 45, Texans 7
Vikings 34, Bengals 7
Rams 42, Seahawks 7
Bills 24, Dolphins 16
49ers 25, Titans 23
Patriots 27, Steelers 24
Cowboys 20, Raiders 17
Falcons 24, Buccaneers 21

NEWS/WHAT WENT DOWN:
-Brock Osweiler shines in Broncos great win. Maybe most complete win of the season
-Lions stay alive in the playoff race as they whip the Bears
-Chiefs end Chargers hot streak and take control of AFC West. Chargers looked bad as Phillip Rivers, Keenan Allen slow down
-Saints destroy Josh McCown-less Jets. Mark Ingram, Alvin Kamara star as usual
-Redskins beat Cardinals in tight match. Mostly a slugfest
-Ravens almost wild card locks as they demolish Browns who are still yet to win a game. Browns should look at next week as their last legitimate chance to win a game as they play Bears. I predict the Browns to win that one
-Panthers shut down Aaron Rodgers' comeback game, take a huge win that all but has them as playoff locks. Packers playoff hopes likely done. Panthers owner Richardson decides to put team up for sale after the season.
-Eagles shut down Giants with amazing comeback. Eagles no Wentz, no problem as Nick Foles stars with 4 TDs, 200+ yards. Eli Manning has hell of a game but his team falls just short. Eagles clinch NFC first round BYE for playoffs
-Jaguars offensive reboot continues as Blake Bortles and new star WR Keelan Cole go off. Clinch their first playoff berth in years. Texans still cannot replace star QB Deshaun Watson.
-Vikings easily brush off Bengals. Near end of game Vikings rest starter Case Keenum and put QB Teddy Bridgewater in for first time in over a year. Bridgewater plays decently as he handed off most of the time. Vikings beginning to look like first round BYE locks. Bengals say they will cut ties with Coach Marvin Lewis after season.
-Rams pull off upset of the season by not only beating, but DOMINATING Seahawks in their home turf. Todd Gurley goes OFF for 4 TDs. Seahawks playoff hopes all but dashed. Will need to win out and have 2 Falcon losses out of the Falcons next 3 games.
-Bills beat Dolphins in boring game. Tyrod Taylor plays well
-49ers win their 3rd straight since starting Jimmy Garopollo. Garopollo looking really good as he leads the Niners to a game winning drive capped by a Robbie Gould field goal. Titans look cooked.
-Patriots barely win one of the most highly anticipated games of the year as Steelers late overturned TD has them lose as they throw a pick the next play. Pats clinch playoffs. Steelers lose star WR Antonio Brown until the playoffs with injured calf.
-Cowboys keep TINY playoff hopes alive as they hold off Derek Carr and the Raiders as Carr fumbles in the endzone for the 'Boys to win it!
-Falcons stay alive in post-season race, barely win game with a missed field goal to tie it by Bucs K Patrick Murray

Winners of the Week, Week 14

Hi, before you see my winners of the week, I've decided to add some new awards. There will now be an offensive and defensive player of the week! Here it is:

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers
Statline: 506 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs passing
After a horrible start to the season, aging Ben Roethlisberger is playing some of the best football of his life. Big Ben was the main factor in a key playoff clinching win over rival Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers were down by more than 10 points in the second half but thanks to Big Ben guiding the offense, the Steelers were able to make a huge comeback and win in the very end 39-38. Ben played INSANE! He threw for 506 yards! Thats crazy and a mark that you almost never see happen these days in football. 506 yards! In one game thats half 1000 yards. CRAZY! Big Ben has hit 500+ yards 3 times in his career and this was one of them. Also his 3rd 500+ yard passing game makes him the first QB to hit this mark 3 times in their career. Big Ben had an insane game as he facilitated an amazing offense attack that ended up destroying the Ravens upset attempt. Big Ben had one of the best games of his career with 500+ yards passing, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs. Thats what I call a perfect game which wins Big Ben my blog's OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK award. The first one on my blog!

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Xavien Howard, CB, Dolphins
Statline: 2 INTs, 3 passes defended
Xavien Howard may have just had the best game of his life. He not only had 1 INT, but he had 2. And he did it against the best QB in NFL history. Coming into the Dolphins game against the Patriots, the Pats were heavily favored as Tom Brady was leading his Pats to another amazing season. With the amazing game of Xavien Howard, the Dolphins pulled off the upset. Brady almost never throws picks in any game so when he gets picked off TWICE, people think of it as rare as a blue moon. Also when Brady somehow gets picked off once or even twice, its usually a veteran CB who is top 5 in the league. Not in this case, young CB Xavien Howard broke the trend as he picked off Brady twice and entered his way into the top 10 CB's in the league in my opinion. The young CB played elite football against the best QB to ever play the game, in fact Brady is likely the best player EVER to do it at any position and for young Howard to go out there and play amazing football should easily win him my blog's first ever DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK award!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Pittsburgh Steelers (11-2)
Final Score: Steelers 39, Ravens 38
Not only do the Steelers have their QB win my blogs offensive player, but they win team of the week for the entire team. First of all, the Steelers right now look like the no. 1 team in the league after their win and the Pats losing along with the Eagles losing QB Carson Wentz for the season. Next they clinched playoffs. Also they made the comeback of maybe the year. Lets start with the offense. We know Big Ben had one of the best games of his long NFL career. WR Antonio Brown keeps playing at an MVP level and had a huge 11 reception, 213 yard game which is amazing because its so rare to see a receiver or any non QB break 200 yards in a game. RB Le'Veon Bell also had a great game with 100 + all purpose yards and 3 all purpose TDs. Then their O-line played great, giving them time for their offense to cause all this damage. The defense played bad at the start of the game but in the second half held the Ravens well and won the game! What a huge win for the Steelers as they win my blogs TEAM OF THE WEEK!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers: 11 rec, 213 yards receiving
A.J. Bouye, CB, Jaguars: 2 INTs
Deion Jones, LB, Falcons: 13 tackles and game winning interception
Carson Wentz, QB, Eagles: 291 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT passing before tearing ACL
Brett Hundley, QB, Packers: 265 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs passing

TEAM OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Miami Dolphins (6-7)
Atlanta Falcons (8-5)
Carolina Panthers (9-4)
Los Angeles Chargers (7-6)
Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4)

-Packers make comeback against Browns and end up beating Browns in OT. Browns fall to 0-13. Despite good play from Packers QB Brett Hundley, Aaron Rodgers is now recovered and will play this week. The Packers are 7-6 and still have a good shot at the playoffs, especially with Rodgers back
-Chiefs find themselves with big win over Raiders. Kareem Hunt is back!! 100+ yards and a TD. Chiefs look good in game but still need to beat out Chargers in close divisional race. Raiders loss puts them in a bad position of playoff likelyhood but there is still a chance.
-Cowboys look decent in big win over Giants. Playoffs likely out the window for Cowboys but they still beat the bad Giants team. Giants Eli Manning plays badly in first game back, should look at starting rookie QB Davis Webb because if they realize he can play, they might not have to draft a QB in the first round. Seems smart to me.
-Lions beat out Bucs in slugfest game. Lions still have huge uphill battle to make playoffs but its not out of the picture. Once hot looking Bucs season has just been a mess
-Panthers upset Vikings in big NFC playoff match. Eagles regain top position in NFC with Minnesota loss. Panthers looking like they will make playoffs now. Vikings even with bad loss still almost locks for post season
-49ers whoop Texans. Niners are now on 2 game win streak as QB Jimmy Garopollo is looking really good. Texans lose once again despite amazing game from WR DeAndre Hopkins.
-Broncos FINALLY snap their losing streak as they shutout Jets. Jets star QB Josh McCown breaks his hand in loss, out for the season.
-Chargers keep hot streak going as they demolish Redskins, Chargers beginning to look like serious playoff contenders.
-Cardinals upset Titans in slugfest.
-Jaguars beat Seahawks in huge game for both teams playoff picture. Jags looked great as their defense AND offense played well. Seahawks in the end make huge comeback but it falls just short as refs miss a pass interference call that would have put Seahawks in winning position. Jags now pretty much playoff locks. Seahawks likely have to win out to make playoffs which is doable. They play Rams at home this week, away against the Cowboys in week 16, and back at home against the Cardinals in week 17.
-Eagles win in the end of what was a very close game most of the game. Eagles lose star QB Carson Wentz to a season ending ACL tear. Even though the Eagles clinched playoffs with the win, they odds to win the Super Bowl take a major blow as Eagles will have to start QB Nick Foles who has had an up and down career but had his best year of football with the Eagles earlier in his career. Loss is big for Rams as they could have basically put their division on ice with win, now have to beat Seahawks in Seattle if they want division which will be hard.
-Steelers make comeback of the year and go on to beat Ravens in final minutes of the game as Steelers triple B's play amazing. Ravens almost had the upset.
-Bears whoop Bengals in slugfest game. Mitch Trubisky plays well.
-Dolphins upset Patriots as Jay Cutler outplays Tom Brady. Dolphins now have a chance at playoffs with win. Brady plays badly as he was sacked multiple times and got picked off twice by a young CB. Not something you see happen very often.

Top 10 MVP Candidates Week 14

Hi, I haven't made an MVP rankings post since week 6 but its finally here. If there is a + or - next to someones name its how much they've moved up or down since my week 6 MVP rankings post. If there is an N/A it means they weren't on my last post. Here it is:
(This was made before Thursday night football Saints Vs. Falcons)

1. Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks: N/A
Statline: 3256 yards, 26 TDs, 8 INTs passing // 432 yards, 3 TDs rushing
In a matter of 8 weeks, Russell Wilson has gone from a non-candidate to a leading one and I think he is now the front runner. A week ago, Wilson would maybe be no. 2 or 3 behind Carson Wentz and or Tom Brady. Now after taking down Wentz's lead no. 1 Eagles, he looks like the no. 1 candidate. Wilson has had the year of his career. He has done everything for the Seahawks and is the definition of MVP. He passes the ball BEAUTIFULLY with no o-line and a ton of his passes are rushed from outside the pocket. He seems to throw better outside the pocket. Wilson also is the teams leading rusher. With no RB on the Seahawks playing well, Wilson has been their RB. Running under pressure and picking up tons of yards. Wilson can not be sacked despite his horrible O-line. He has learned he doesn't totally need an O-line as he rolls out and fires every play almost. Wilson is leading the Seahawks likely back into the playoffs and he is playing the best football of his career. Wilson deserves to be MVP as he has put a team with plenty of struggles on his back to have a great year.

2. Carson Wentz, QB, Eagles: +6
Statline: 3005 yards, 29 TDs, 4 INTs passing
In just year 2, Carson Wentz has gone from an average rookie QB to MVP status elite QB. Wentz has been playing some amazing football. He lead the Eagles to a league best 10-1 to start the year and hit a small bump in the road after getting upset by the Seahawks but the Eagles have taken just 1 season to kickstart and now look like contenders for years. The reason for their dominance is Carson Wentz. Wentz makes beautiful throws under pressure or not. He already has 13 more TD passes than last year and leads the league in passing TDs. He also is just 700 yards away from beating his total yardage mark from last year. Wentz has gone from that average rookie you always see to an MVP level player who looks like he could also be a Super Bowl champ by the time the season is over.

3. Tom Brady, QB, Patriots: -2
Statline: 3632 yards, 26 TDs, 4 INTs passing
While a ton of people say Brady is the leading MVP candidate, I disagree. But still, its Tom Brady, over course he's in the top 5.

4. Case Keenum, QB, Vikings: N/A
Statline: 2703 yards, 16 TDs, 5 INTs passing
I'm still in awe that in just one season, Keenum went from one of those joke, horrible QBs to a top 5 MVP candidate. It just surprises me so much that a player who was SO BAD one year and the very next a complete top MVP candidate. Keenum has been a great player this season. After a horrible season with the Rams, Keenum has made a comeback playing for Minnesota this year. After starter Sam Bradford got injured early on, the Vikings were sad to send on joke of a QB Keenum who then went on to lead the Vikings to an amazing start and keep the job over Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater. Now Keenum is the entrentched starter and looks beautiful. He throws the ball with a nice spiral and is making himself millions of dollars as he does it. Keenum could be MVP, get used to the thought. But, all 3 Vikings QBs are free agents this off-season, this is going to be interesting.

5. Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers: +1
Statline: 1296 yards, 9 TDs
Antonio Brown has been having MAYBE the best season of his decorated career so far. Brown has been the offensive weapon we knew he was all year and he has really helped the Steelers O is some difficult positions. I used to think Le'Veon Bell was the best offensive player on the Steelers, now I'm completely convinced its Brown. He has been such a great receiver this year and there is no beating him one on one coverage and sometimes not even with double coverage. Brown already has a lot over 1000 yards which makes an amazing season. Brown still has 4 more regular season games, could he hit 2000 yards. I can see it.

6. Phillip Rivers, QB, Chargers: N/A
Statline: 3292 yards, 21 TDs, 7 INTs passing
Phillip Rivers has never really been compared to Tom Brady, but in his 35 year old season, Rivers is playing like Brady did at this age. Rivers has not played worse with age even though people thought he would but he seems to be playing better than usual. He took the Chargers ugly 0-4 start and now has them sitting at 6-6, in a three way tie for the AFC West lead but they are the favorites to come out of it. Rivers is the main reason. He has slung the ball so well recently that the Chargers have been able to make this comeback and look like such a hot team. Rivers is playing some great football and could be a main name in the end of this MVP conversation. I think Rivers should be in this.

7. Drew Brees, QB, Saints: N/A
Statline: 3298 yards, 17 TDs, 5 INTs
Brees is another very old QB who is having a great year and is back into the MVP race. Brees is having a great season, since his Super Bowl win early on in his career, Brees and his Saints have not come close to winning the Super Bowl, now the Saints are in prime position to win a tough NFC South and have good chances at possibly making and winning the Super Bowl. A reason they are playing this well is because they have such a great at QB. Brees is still slinging perfectly though some say he is slowing down. I don't think so. The Saints look amazing and Brees is to blame. Brees could win his first MVP of his career if he keeps playing well and the Saints go on a deep playoff run. A interesting thing is that a QB of this caliber is usually completely locked up this close to the end of the season on a contract but Brees' contract expires this off-season and not many moves have come for re-negotiations.

8. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints: N/A
Statline: 606 yards, 7 TDs rushing // 614 yards, 4 TDs receiving
Kamara is the perfect do it all RB and is currently leading the rookie of the year race. After a slow start to the season, Kamara has completely exploded since Adrian Peterson was traded and has jetted up the ranks of every rookie of the year race board and now he is climbing the MVP ranks. Kamara is a super dangerous player and I feel like every time the ball is in his hand, something crazy happens. Kamara may be the next Le'Veon Bell as he can not only run the ball super well but is also a great WR. Kamara is not the starting RB on the Saints but easily is an elite RB that will someday be a workhorse starter. Kamara adds so much to the game to be able to come in randomly and dominate. With Kamara and other Saints RB Mark Ingram, the Saints have changed in one season from a pass first team to a run first team with the best rushing attack in football. Kamara is to blame as he is having a rookie season for the ages. Kamara has a shot at MVP but is likely the rookie of the year.

9. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers: N/A
Statline: 1032 yards, 5 TDs receiving
Keenan Allen started his year off back from injury badly. He was having a bust start to the year and no one thought he was the same as he was. The season pressed on and Allen continued to suck. Then finally, Allen began his huge multi-game stretch off 100 yard, multiple TD games with 10 plus catches. He is still on that streak and it could continue as the Chargers win streak continues. Phillip Rivers loves getting the ball to Allen who as emerged as the top player on a hot Chargers offensive attack. Allen is playing so well and if he keeps up this amazing streak, we could have an MVP WR on our hands.

10. Kevin Byard, S, Titans: N/A
Statline: 6 INTs, 2 forced fumbles, 67 combined tackles
You may have never even heard of Byard, but I have to put a defensive player somewhere on this list and I'm feeling like Byard is that guy. After being picked in the 3rd round last year, Byard had a bad year, but this season has been much different. Byard leads the NFL in INTs with 6 and also has 2 forced fumbles. He has been a mad man on defense this year for the Titans and has helped their D a lot and deserves a spot on this list.

Just Missed the List: Jared Goff QB Rams, Calais Campbell DE Jaguars, Demarcus Lawrence DE Cowboys, Jimmy Graham TE Seahawks

Winners of the Week, Week 13

Hi, here is my weekly winners of the week post:

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs
Statline: 6 receptions, 185 yards, 2 TDs
For the 3rd straight week, a WR is my blogs player of the week. Tyreek Hill has been having an amazing sophomore season and this game was the ultimate highlight of the season and may possibly have been the best game of his young career. Despite losing, the Chiefs put up a FIGHT! Chiefs QB Alex Smith bounced back and went off and part of the reason he went off was because of Hill. Hill is a top 3 fastest player in the NFL, maybe only slower than speedster rookie John Ross. He used his speed to advantage like he always does. One second Smith would be looking down field and throw a bomb downfield, the next second you would see Tyreek Hill like 10 feet ahead of his CB wide open for the TD. This happened twice in the game. Hill was everywhere. He was doing it all and he was so good. Tyreek Hill is a beast and his huge 185 yard, 2 TD game propels him to his first player of the week award on my blog!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Seattle Seahawks (8-4)
Final Score: Seahawks 24, Eagles 10
For the 4th time this season, the Seattle Seahawks are my blogs team of the week. The Seahawks pulled off the upset of the week in the game of the week. Before the game, the Eagles were flying VERY high. They had the best record in the league at 10-1 while the closest teams behind them were 9-2. The Seahawks came into the game at a suspect 7-4 barely hanging on to playoff hopes. For the first time in maybe years, the Seahawks weren't favorites at their home stadium, such a hard place to win at. The Seahawks were just barely underdogs but they had their cleanest win of the season against the best team in the league. The Hawks right out of the gate were looking good. They opened up with a 10-0 lead after a field goal first drive and then a quick stop on the Eagles top 5 offense. By the end of the 3rd quarter, the Seahawks almost already were ready to be called the winners. They pulled off maybe the upset of the season and put every team in the NFC on notice. Russell Wilson had another superstar game which is routine now for the leading MVP candidate. He picked apart a great Eagles D. RB Mike Davis is his first starting game played very well and now has given the Seahawks someone in the backfield. Pass catchers on the Hawks all played really well and the O-line held up well enough but Wilson does need the O-line much anyway. The D was also SO impressive. It completely held the Eagles elite offense and picked him off. The best play of the game was when the Eagles were starting to make a small comeback and at the 2 yard line, QB Carson Wentz ran to try and get the TD and Seahawks DE Sheldon Richardson forced a game changing fumble to get the ball back. The Seahawks had a great game and now are back in the thick of the playoff hunt. This win was huge and it wins them team of the week on my blog.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Honorable Mentions:
Alex Smith, QB, Chiefs: 366 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTS passing

Carson Wentz has worst game of the year but still plays decent. Seahawks looking like scary playoff contenders again as Russell Wilson takes lead in MVP race.
-Steelers comeback from 17-0 deficit to win game, huge win for Steelers to keep on pace with Patriots.

Best Eli Manning Landing Spots

Hi, with the somewhat surprising end of the Eli Manning era in New York as he was benched, after the season Manning will likely be traded or released and I'm going to discuss his best landing spots. Here it is:

Jacksonville Jaguars:
This is the most obvious and likely landing spot for Manning for a few reasons. The main reason is because Manning's former coach who he has a great relationship with, Tom Coughlin now works on the Jaguars staff. He would love to work with Coughlin again and Coughlin would love to work with him again. The second reason is late in his career, Manning wants to play for a contender so he can maybe end out with a Super Bowl win like his brother did. The final reason is the Jags have an amazing defense so even if Manning plays like he's really old, he will have a defense to carry him. This is an amazing landing spot for Manning.

Denver Broncos:
What a sight it would be to see Peyton Manning's brother in a Broncos jersey. It could happen. He may want to play for the Broncos because when his brother was in the same situation as him, he signed with the Broncos and had a few more good years and even won a Super Bowl. He may be tempted because he could want to be the second Manning to play for the Broncos. The Broncos really need a QB and with that amazing defense, if Manning plays well, he could win a Super Bowl in Denver just like his brother. It could happen.

New York Jets:
Another top landing spot for Manning wouldn't end him up very far from where he is now. Playing for the Jets would mean just switching uniforms but not cities. There is a chance he plays for the Jets. They need a QB very badly and if Eli Manning came to them and wanted to play, they would pounce on the opportunity. Even though he is old they would do it, they didn't draft a QB this year and instead bet on 38 year old QB Josh McCown. How much fun would it be to see Manning on the other end of New York?

Cleveland Browns:
The Browns are always an option. They are always in need of a QB and Manning could be the next man up on their carousel. The Browns have a lot of cap space and if Manning became a free agent, the Browns could offer a ton of money to get the veteran. They could also offer the Giants a lot if a trade were to come up. As we know, the Browns always need a QB, making them an option.

Washington Redskins:
Who knows what ends up happening with Kirk Cousins? If they get him back, the Skins' are completely out of the picture for Manning and while Cousins is worth a ton of money, I still feel the Skins' aren't ready to give it. If Cousins doesn't get a long term offer from them, he will likely hold out or leave to another team. If they don't have Cousins then the Skins' could become a main option because then Manning could stay in the division and play teams he's familiar with and knows how to beat them. He would also get 2 match-ups with the Giants yearly. If Cousins leaves, Manning could have a lot of fun commanding the high powered Redskin offense.

Arizona Cardinals:
With Carson Palmer probably done with the Cardinals after another injured season, the Cards may not be ready to draft someone yet and if Manning came available, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up going to the Cardinals. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians would be a main reason for Manning to come because he has mentored some of the elite QBs in this league and he and Eli could make some great plays. Also Eli's brother Peyton was one player who was coached at one point by Arians. The Cards could be a main option.
