Head Coaching Candidates

Hi, sorry that I haven't posted in awhile the off-season has been pretty slow lately. Here are some people that are staff members like offensive or defensive coordinators from teams or former players or someone that I think could make a great head coach next year or something when the next head coach gets fired. Here it is:

Kris Richard, Defensive Coordinator, Seahawks:
Richard is the defensive coordinator for a Seahawks defense that has had years where it has been compared to some of the best defenses in NFL history. He is a great coordinator that has turned the Seattle D into something called the Legion of Boom and that D has become a top 3 D for the last few years. He is GREAT and I think he will be a great head coach in the future. He almost landed the Bills job this off-season which means he's getting close!

Josh McDaniels, Offensive Coordinator, Patriots:
McDaniels was second to Kyle Shannahan in the Assistant Coach of the Year race. He has made the Patriots offense so good especially lately and even got the Patriots 3-1 lead by their offense without stud QB Tom Brady. He declined head coach offers this off-season to stay with the Pats which surprised me but if he ever branches out and becomes a head coach, he will be good.

Wade Phillips, Defensive Coordinator, Rams:
Phillips is getting older so he may not get another chance at head coach but it's possible with his level of experience at the coaching game. He won Assistant COY a year ago and up until this off-season, he has been the Broncos no. 1 defense, coordinator. Phillips has really made Denver a great defense and he is headed to L.A. for the Rams but if he makes their iffy D a lot better, some desperate teams could offer him a job.

Matt Patricia, Defensive Coordinator, Patriots:
The Patriots have gotten both their offense and defensive coordinators on this list. Even though the Pats D isn't the best, he has looked like a great coordinator that does his job well. The Pats D is top 10, possibly even top 5. Patricia looks like he could become a good head coach in the future.

Peyton Manning, Retired Colts/Broncos QB:
Manning has talked a little bit about coaching but if a team offered him up, he may consider. The future hall of famer is a year removed from the NFL and has already gone down as one of the best QBs ever. He has won the MVP award the most of anyone in NFL history. He seems like he is good at leading teams and he has reportedly worked with some NFL QBs like Ryan Tannehill to 'tutor' him. One of the best QBs ever would probably make a great coach.

Rod Marinelle, Defensive Coordinator, Cowboys:
Most NFL fans have heard of Marinelle, he is one of the most talked about coordinators in the league. The Cowboys D isn't top 15 but Marinelle does a great job himself. He is so much more in-to football and passionate about the game and he knows what he wants in his defense and makes it happen. He could get a job.

Todd Haley, Offensive Coordinator, Steelers:
The Steelers offense has been the best in the league a few seasons lately. Haley is somewhat responsible. He has designed this teams offense along with their fun two point conversion gambles. I think that eventually Haley will be hired as a Head Coach and do very well.

Norv Turner, Offensive Coordinator, Vikings:
Turner has been talked about a lot as a great offensive coordinator and he is responsible for the Vikings offense that has its great moments at times. Remember their offenses hot start this season? Also Turner can turn young QB Teddy Bridgewater into an elite QB if he comes back from injury, if Turner can pull it off, he could be looking at turning a whole team elite next season.

Gregg Williams, Defensive Coordinator, Browns:
Williams did just sign a deal with the Browns but even if the Browns want him back after year one, if he gets a head coaching job offer he is out of there. Williams is the most aggressive coach I've ever seen and while I personally don't like him because I think he is TOO aggressive and gets harsh, some GM may love that type of intensity and offer him to become the main guy in their staff.

Thanks for reading, here are some teams in my opinion that might need a new head coach next year:
Bears, Jets, Colts, Browns, Bengals, Bills, Jaguars, Chargers
