Will A.P. go to the Bucs? Smith Here to Stay?

Hi, 2 headlines caught my eyes today. Here they are:

Will Adrian Peterson end up signing with the Buccaneers:
A.P. with Bucs QB Jameis Winston for workout
A.P. has been sitting on the free agent market for awhile now and people are really starting to wonder what team Peterson will go to. A.P. recently worked out with Bucs QB Jameis Winston. This could be nothing at all but it also could be a hint that the team might be wondering what their starting QB thought of the 7-time pro bowler. I think that this could be quite possible. The Bucs need help at running back as no one knows if Doug Martin will ever play again. I could see A.P. playing well on the Bucs because it would be a perfect situation for the veteran. In my latest 2017 NFL mock draft I have the Bucs selecting RB Christian McCaffery in the first round but if they picked up Peterson that would change but maybe the team won't get Peterson if they have their eyes set on someone like Christian McCaffery. I think that Peterson would have a chance at a Super Bowl to finish his career on and I think the Bucs could get him some stats. This would be a good fit and I'm sure Peterson would accept an offer from the Bucs.

Geno Smith Giants
Is Geno Smith the eventual successor for Eli Manning:
Another headline caught my eye today and it was Giants coach Ben McAdoo saying "I don't see why not" when asked if Geno Smith could be Eli Manning's successor in a few years. Could we really see a Giants team lead by bust QB Geno Smith? If Smith plays well then it would make sense but if the Giants end up relying on him when Eli Manning is gone and don't get another quality QB on the roster it could end up backfiring on them if Smith plays like horribly like usual or gets hurt like he does a lot. Smith may have a chance to lead a Giants team in a few years but he will have to prove himself in some way as the bar will be set high after Eli Manning leaves after years of playing at a high level for the Giants.

Thanks for reading about these 2 headlines I thought were important for me to tell you guys! :)

Biggest Off-Season Questions Still Remaining

Hi, even though we are getting to the really exciting draft time of year, there are still many unanswered storylines to talk about. I am going to tell you some of the biggest un-answered things. Some quick news that QB Chase Daniel is signed by the Saints. Here it is:

Where will Tony Romo land?
Everyone wants to know and everyone has wanted to know since during last season. The Cowboys seemed like they were just ready to get rid of him when saying they were releasing him when hours before free agency opened up they went back and held on to him to see if they could find any trade partners. Now the Cowboys are just playing the waiting game and they really have no rush. They can wait until at least June without worrying. Apparently he has also even been offered from TV companies to be an analyst next season. Will he leave the NFL? Where will he end up?

Where will Adrian Peterson land?
Adrian Peterson is still avaliable a few weeks into free agency, I for sure thought Peterson would be the hottest player in free agency. Nope. Teams like the Seahawks and even the Vikings are picking other YOUNGER options them him such as Eddie Lacy and Latavius Murray. The Raiders seem like the prime option for Peterson but it doesn't seem like either side will budge. Where will he land?

Will the marriage between Jay Cutler and the Jets happen?
Everyone knew Cutler's time in Chi-town was running short but after being cut it seemed like he and the Jets would form one marriage but again neither side as budged. Will Cutler end up un-employed and retire? Or will he have another chance to redeem himself in the Big Apple? We will see? Or will he end up with another team? Lots of options here!

Will Jimmy Garopollo leave?
Everyone thought Jimmy G would be a top trade candidate to go somewhere and start at QB but it looks like the Pats will be holding him hostage! Many teams would quickly pull the trigger on Jimmy G if he was open. This is a tough call but the Pats will likely keep him. Who knows though? Maybe a team will make the Pats an offer they can't resist. This is one of the biggest storylines this off-season!

Thanks for reading about these un-answered questions!

Terrelle Pryor: The Switch

Hi, today I thought I would post about a player that I think was special last year and why its even cooler that he was so good. First some quick news that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reports that the Tony Romo situation could last until training camp. That is practically the whole OFF-SEASON! CRAZY! Here it is:

Terrelle Pryor, WR, Redskins:
The Redskins recently purchased receiver Terrelle Pryor out of free agency. He isn't just your average
wideout though. Pryor came into the league as one of the top college QB prospects. Thats right. He was a QB. Pryor was drafted in the 3rd round of the NFL supplemental draft by the Raiders in 2011. The supplemental draft is this strange draft that gets the players that weren't in the draft. Anyways Pryor came into the league as a QB. From then to 2015 Pryor was a huge nobody in the NFL. He had done literally nothing but get traded cut and then signed again only to be traded cut and signed by another team. Finally he found the turning point in his career, he signed a 1 year deal with the Cleveland Browns. He began catching balls and got addicted to it. He began loving catching balls and really considered playing receiver until he finally officially decided to become a WR. Pryor's body was perfect for receiver. At 6'4 he would win pretty much any WR to corner battle on a jump ball. He is also very muscular and just has the perfect body for a WR. Even though everyone was intrigued to see what Pryor would do, coming into the pre-season Pryor was thought not to even be WR number 3 on the team but after his stunning break through pre-season where he connected with Robert Griffin III, he ended up no. 1 on the wide receiver depth chart by the beginning of the season. Pryor then went on to have the best season of his horrible career. Pryor caught a little over half of the passes thrown to him for a monster 1007 yard season with 4 touchdowns. Even though these totals aren't HUGE for elite receivers, boy he looked elite. Despite only 1 win on the entire season, Pryor seemed happy in Cleveland and seemed like a good fit for the team. If the Browns could get a QB to pair with him then they could be a great duo but after strong consideration by the Browns, the team decided not to re-sign him, letting the receiver hit the open market. Within the first few days of the free agency market opening, Terrelle Pryor was snatched by the Washington Redskins on a 1 year deal. This made perfect sense for Washington. The team had just lost its 2 starting receivers DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon and bringing breakout Terrelle Pryor in seemed like a good move. Good move? This will likely be the best signing throughout free agency. Pryor again has the perfect body for a wide receiver and he will be the no. 1 target on the team and will be targeted far more than any of Washington's other receiving options. Also another big thing...the Redskins have an elite gunslinger at QB. Kirk Cousins had a big breakout year last season and now Pryor will have a quality QB throwing the ball his way. Now Pryor can really become the amazing weapon he was meant to become years before. Kirk Cousins and Terrelle Pryor will take the NFL by storm with their amazing new duo.

Thanks for reading about this exciting player in Terrelle Pryor!

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas!

Hi, if you haven't heard the headlines yet you are probably confused by the title. Here it is:

LAS VEGAS Raiders:
The Raiders have finally quieted all of the rumors, its official, they are moving Las Vegas! After a long time of thinking about it and getting things to fall into place, the Raiders have finally officially gotten the heads up to move. The team with remain in Oakland for this season and maybe next season but by 2020 the huge domed Vegas stadium will be ready for action. The Las Vegas Raiders has a nice ring to it. All of the players seem to have mixed feelings about moving but if I were them I would be happy, Vegas is such a fun place and they get to be there and play football. I wonder also if this makes RB Marshawn Lynch's chances of playing for the Raiders go down because the reason he is so attracted to the Raiders is because he lives in Oakland. The longshot for Marshawn Lynch just got it a bit longer. This young offense will be a lot older by the time they are in Vegas but again they
may be a top contender by then also.

Thanks for reading this short post but the Raiders are moving to Vegas! :)

Also I have a new updated mock

Best 2nd Round Picks

Hi, first round picks are all the buzz but actually a lot of stars come out of the 2nd and 3rd rounds, today I will be talking about the best 2nd round picks in the last 5 years. Here it is:

Le'Veon Bell, RB, Steelers
Pick 48 overall, 2013:
Taking Bell in the 2nd round showed that the Steelers thought Le'Veon was really good, but who knew he would be this good. Bell has become one of the best running backs in the league and a vital part of one of the best offenses in the league. Bell is an elite running back that will have chances to win Offensive Player of the Year for years to come.

Derek Carr, QB, Raiders
Pick 36 overall, 2014:
Carr could have been the first pick in the entire draft but instead he slid into the 2nd round where the Raiders stole him. Carr was an MVP candidate last season and played out of his mind guiding the Raiders to the playoffs before getting injured 2 weeks before the playoffs to ruin any chances the Raiders had of actually winning the Super Bowl. He is a great leader and exactly what the Raiders hoped he'd be. Sucks for the Texans who passed up on him.

Bobby Wagner, MLB, Seahawks
Pick 47 overall, 2012:
Wagner was one of the best 2nd round picks I have ever seen. What he's done for the Seahawks is insane especially this last season where he had a chance to win Defensive Player of the Year. By a whole 18 tackles, Bobby Wagner lead the NFL in tackles with 167. Thats insane. Wagner really has developed into one of the best at his position in football and who would have thought this dude wasn't a top 5 pick.

Janoris Jenkins, CB, Giants:
Pick 39 overall, 2012:
Jenkins looked like a decent corner in this league until his huge breakout season this year. He was a top corner this season and I thought he was phenomonal. Jenkins is a lockdown corner now and I wouldn't be surprised if he won defensive player of the year within the next few seasons.

Landon Collins, S, Giants
Pick 33 overall, 2015:
Collins went from a decent rookie to a DPOY candidate. He was nominated for the award this past season after his great year. 5 interceptions is great and he even had 4 sacks which is a lot for the player that plays the farthest back on defense. He also had a pick 6 vs the Rams which I thought should have won play of the year. Collins blossomed this season.

Alshon Jeffery, WR, Eagles
Pick 45 overall, 2012:
Michael Thomas
Jefferey went from a second round pick to an elite receiver. The new Eagles star was only a 2nd round pick in his draft but ended up becoming a top receiver in the league when he was healthy. I think he will be really good on the Eagles even better than he was on the bad Bears.

Michael Thomas, WR, Saints:
Pick 47 overall, 2016:
Even though he has only played 1 year, he looks like he was a steal. None of the first round pick receivers did anything this year. Him and later round pick Tyreek Hill should have been the only receivers taken in the 1st round. Thomas had an 1000 yard season this year and may be the no. 1 receiver now on the Saints after Brandin Cooks was traded to the Patriots.

Thanks for reading about the best 2nd round picks!

Best Free Agent QBs Left

Hi, with the biggest position in football un-filled for some teams here are the best QBs still open. Some quick news that RB Danny Woodhead signed with the Ravens. Here it is:

1. Tony Romo:
Romo is still on the Cowboys because they haven't released him yet but everyone knows they will wait until they get a trade or just wait awhile before releasing him. It will happen but who knows when. Romo will have a hot market run by the Texans and Broncos who both want Romo but the Texans are the clear team that wants Romo the most because they cleared a bunch of cap room by letting go of their starting QB Brock Osweiler and letting one of the best corners in free agency walk so they would have enough money for Romo. If Romo goes somewhere else this will be a free agent fail for the Texans. Romo is old but still looks pretty good when he doesn't get hurt.

2. Chase Daniel: (UPADTE: DANIEL SIGNED A 1 YEAR DEAL WITH SAINTS)
Daniel was the highest paid backup in the league until Tony Romo took a seat. Daniel has shown that he is a legit QB and can play pretty well but has never gotten a fair chance to try. I think a team like the 49ers should sign him for competion and a quality backup or a starter that could play. Daniel is a leader that any team would want.

3. Jay Cutler:
Cutler is also an older QB but he is really good and everyone thinks he will go to the Jets but nothing has actually happened yet. Cutler is injury prone and hasn't been as good as everyone hoped he would be in Chicago but there is still hope for him as he looked a bit promising in some of the games he played last season.

4. Colin Kapernick:
Kapernick finally started last season and was decent in real life but very consistently good in fantasy football. Kap is still a young QB that could still be good if he gets put in the right system. He is fast and can make plays but injury questions and questions if he can be elite again linger. It'll be interesting to see who he ends up playing for.

5. Robert Griffin III:
RGIII was great in his rookie year but its gone way downhill ever since. He was getting injured too often on the Redskins so he got released. The Browns finally decided to give the man a chance but he blew it with injuries but when he did play he was decent. He could end up becoming a quality backup with a slight chance of somehow becoming a starter somewhere else.

6. Case Keenum:
Keenum started half of the Rams games this season and was decent but not very good. Teams might be attracted to him but he had a whole seasons worth of starts in the last 2 seasons but he hasn't proven to be much. I think Keenum could be a decent backup but I don't think there is any chance of him starting anywhere. I think he will be signed by the start of next season and be a backup.

Thanks for reading about the best QBs left in free agency but there aren't many good ones left.

Money Manziel to the Saints?

Hi, not much has been happening but this storyline caught my eye. Here it is:

QB Johnny Manziel has been one of the biggest busts we've seen lately. He was one of the best college QBs we've seen but legal and partying troubles have really ruined his career along with him not playing well on the Browns. He was released 2 seasons ago and the Browns were thought to draft QB Carson Wentz but they didn't. Manziel has been doing rehab trying to get his life and football career together but no team has signed him yet. Apparently teams 'have interest in him' but no team had made themselves clear that they wanted him but finally we know that 1 team does have interest. Saints coach Sean Payton finally told the world he has interest in the young QB. Could Johnny Manziel go to the Saints? Manziel wouldn't play for a year or 2 or even more because Drew Brees
still has gas left in the tank but if Manziel stayed could he become a starter. This would be interesting because the Saints have good pass catchers for Manziel. Could Manziel re-start his career in New Orleans? It would be interesting but the Saints still have to sign him if they want him.

A Kicker Actually Won MVP?!

Hi, today I am doing a flashback post about a crazy thing that no one would believe happened. A kicker actually won MVP! I also have a new mock draft: http://walterfootball.com/mocks/publishedmock/60239/1
 Here it is:

Mark Moseley, K, Redskins, Eagles, Browns, Oilers:

No one can believe what I am saying but one year the league went crazy and handed the biggest award in football, MVP, to a kicker! Thats right, a kicker?! Moseley won MVP in 1982 but the season was shortened because NFL went of strike. When Moseley came out to start the season, he wasn't in the greatest position to win MVP, his last kicking season wasn't great and the Redskins brought in K Dan Miller to give Moseley competetion but in the end of the pre-season the the team cut Miller and kept Moseley. The short season began in week 2, and when the league went on strike it came back in
week 11 making it a only 9 game season. This really helped Moseley's chances of winning MVP. The Redskins came into the playoffs as the best team in the NFC. They easily went through the playoffs and moved on to the Super Bowl where they won the Super Bowl against the Dolphins 27-17. The Redskins did have the best defense in the league but K Mark Moseley got more recognition for the Super Bowl win then the defense. He set an NFL record of 23 field goals in a row and almost went the whole season without a miss but ended up missing an extra point in week 17. He went 20-21 field goals and they all counted. In week 1 he kicked a field goal to tie the game and then kicked a field goal for the win in that one. In week 2 he made 3 field goals to help win the game in bad weather conditions against the Buccaneers. Weeks later Moseley hit a game winner to beat their rival Giants by 1 point. That very field goal set him the record at the time for the most consectutive field goals and clinched the Skins' a playoff berth. Moseley won MVP and since it was such a short season and
Moseley made so many important field goals it makes some sense that he won MVP but who would have ever thought that a kicker would win MVP. CRAZY?!

Thanks for reading about this unlikely story of a kicker.

Special thanks to: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-year-the-nfl-went-insane-and-gave-a-kicker-the-mvp-award/  for helping me find out about the details of his crazy season!

Division Battles Round 2 and FINALS!

Hi, today I will be back on track with my divisional battles posts. This is the 2nd round of battles and there are only 4 divisions left in play. Winners of each conference AFC and NFC will play in something that I call the Divisional Final. Here it is:

NFC Finals:

NFC EAST           VS.                NFC South
1. Cowboys                                   1. Falcons

3. Redskins                                    3. Saints
4. Eagles                                        4. Panthers

Cowboys would play Falcons=Falcons win
Giants would play Buccaneers=Giants win
Redskins play Saints=Saints win

The NFC South would edge out the NFC East 3-1 to move on to the Divisional Final.

AFC Finals:

AFC WEST             VS        AFC SOUTH
1. Chiefs                               1. Texans
2. Raiders                             2. Titans

4. Chargers                           4. Jaguars

Chiefs would play Texans=Chiefs win
Raiders would play Titans=Raiders win
Broncos would play Colts=Broncos win
Chargers would play Jaguars=Jaguars win
So the AFC West would move on to the finals 3-1.

DIVISIONAL FINAL:

AFC WEST            VS        NFC SOUTH
1. Chiefs                              1. Falcons
2. Raiders                            2. Buccaneers
3. Broncos                           3. Saints
4. Chargers                          4. Panthers

Chiefs would play Falcons=Falcons win
Raiders would play Buccaneers=Raiders win
Broncos would play Saints=Broncos win
Chargers would play Panthers=Panthers win
THE FINALS GO INTO A 2-2 TIEBREAKER.
My tiebreaker is my pick who I think is the better division and I have to give this one to the AFC West with 3 playoff ready teams, 2 of them made the playoffs this season.

Thanks for reading!

Division Battles Round 1

Hi, thinking about all the teams in a division is cool because you never know who will end up winning each of the leagues closest divisions. Today I will be having a division battle to see which division is the best in the league. Basically we will look at the 4 teams in each division and look at every divisions number 1, 2, 3, and 4 ranked teams and match them against other division 1 2 3 and 4s and whichever division has more wins will move on. Its confusing but it will make more sense as you watch. To start off the south and north divisions will battle and the east and wests will battle. Remember the teams I pick winning are my opinion.

NFC Round 1:

NFC WEST                      VS          NFC EAST:
1. Seattle Seahawks                       1. Dallas Cowboys
2. Arizona Cardinals                      2. New York Giants
3. Los Angeles Rams                     3. Washington Redskins
4. San Fransisco 49ers                   4. Philedelphia Eagles

Seahawks would play Cowboys=Seahawks win
Cardinals would play Giants=Giants win
Rams would play Redskins=Redskins win
49ers would play Eagles=Eagles win
The NFC East would almost sweep the NFC West and move on at a 3-1 win.

NFC NORTH                 VS          NFC SOUTH
1. Green Bay Packers                   1. Atlanta Falcons
2. Detroit Lions                            2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
3. Minnesota Vikings                   3. New Orleans Saints
4. Chicago Bears                          4. Carolina Panthers

Packers would play Falcons=Falcons win
Lions would play Buccaneers=Buccaneers win
Vikings would play Saints=Saints win
Bears would play Panthers=Panthers win
The NFC SOUTH would sweep the NFC North and move on.

AFC Round 1:

AFC WEST                           VS         AFC EAST
1. Kansas City Chiefs                          1. New England Patriots
2. Oakland Raiders                              2. Miami Dolphins
3. Denver Broncos                               3. Buffalo Bills
4. San Diego Chargers                         4. New York Jets

Chiefs would play Patriots=Patriots win
Raiders would play Dolphins=Raiders win
Broncos would play Bills=Broncos win
Chargers would play Jets=Chargers win
The AFC West would win this one with a 3-1 record to move on to round 2.

AFC NORTH                          VS AFC SOUTH
1. Pittsburgh Steelers                1. Houston Texans
2. Baltimore Ravens                 2. Tennessee Titans
3. Cinncinati Bengals               3. Indianipolis Colts
4. Cleveland Browns                4. Jacksonville Jaguars

Steelers would play Texans=Steelers win
Ravens would play Titans=Titans win
Bengals would play Colts=Colts win
Browns would play Jaguars=Jaguars win

The AFC South would move on with a score of 3-1 and the win!

NFC East and South and AFC West and South will move on to round 2 which I will have up next time. I will have round 2 post out soon. Thanks for reading!

Who are the Best Players still Available

Hi, with most of the best free agents gone already, there are still some gems left and I will talk about them. I also will put who I think they will or should land with. Here it is:

Adrian Peterson
Adrian Peterson, RB:
Peterson would be one of the very first signings I thought. Well I thought wrong. About 9 days in, Peterson is still open! This is intriguing because he is still really good in my opinion but since he is getting older and has injury concerns no one has him yet. I think Peterson could still be a top running back next season if he goes to the right team. LANDING SPOTS: Raiders, Giants, Packers

Tony Romo, QB:
Romo technically isn't a free agent because the Cowboys haven't released him since they are trying to find a trade partner but no one wants to trade and so Romo will hit the market sooner or later. Romo will be exciting and he will likely be the starter on another team next season. We will see who. LANDING SPOTS: Texans, Broncos, Redskins

Jay Cutler, QB:
Cutler wasn't great when he was playing but he still has a chance to be a starting QB in this league. I thought when he played he wasn't bad but every said he sucked. There is a strong movement with the New York Jets that they might sign him and maybe he could have a chance to finish his career on a high note in New York. LANDING SPOTS: Jets

LeGarrette Blount
LeGarrette Blount, RB:
I'm surprised he wasn't the first running back off the market. Blount was ELITE last season pounding out 19 TDs and having an 1000 yard season. The Patriots really should re-sign this guy before he
becomes elite for another team. LANDING SPOTS: Patriots

Erik Walden
Erik Walden, LB:
This is probably the first time I have mentioned Walden on my blog but he is actually really good and no one realized that he had 11 sacks last season. Thats a lot! Why does no one want him? LANDING SPOTS: Titans, Colts

Dwight Freeney, DE:
Freeney was decent last season but he keeps getting pressure to QBs and he is a GREAT leader for any team he ends up going! LANDING SPOTS: ??

Is Beast Mode coming Back?

Hi, sorry that its been a few days since I last posted but some news online got me really excited and so I will talk about it. Some quick news that the Raiders sign TE Jared Cook, Falcons sign DT Donatri Poe, Jets sign CB Morris Claiborne, Ravens sign CB Brandon Carr. Here it is:

Marshawn Lynch, RB:
Marshawn Lynch was one of the greatest running backs we've ever seen, but sadly at a young age "beast mode" retired. The Seahawks didn't want to get rid of their amazing back but he retired anyway and said there was no way he was ever coming back to football. Then we are starting to get news that the Oakland Raiders are interested in trying to get Marshawn to come out of retirement and play for them. I honestly thought that the Raiders were for sure going to go for Adrian Peterson as the Vikings snatched the Raiders starting running back Latavius Murray so why didn't A.P. go to the Raiders which were his top choice anyway. No, it looks like before going for Peterson the Raiders will go after retired RB Marshawn Lynch.
Lynch was an absoulute monster. He barreled through guys. His legendary "beast quake" was the greatest play I've ever seen. Now at age 31 teams still want more after seeing his amazingness. This Raiders offense could be the best in the league next season. QB Derek Carr had an MVP candidate season and the Raiders would have made a playoff run if Carr hadn't gotten injured 2 weeks before the playoffs. Receivers Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree were insane this year and they proved to be great targets while the Raiders brought in receiver/kick returner Cordarelle Patterson who maybe could make plays at WR3 with his speed. Tight end Jared Cook was great for the Packers last season and he will be a huge target for Derek Carr. Then if they had someone like Lynch or Peterson it would add in another element to make the Raiders offense insane. If Marshawn really does come and join the Raiders, other teams have got to be scared!!

Thanks for reading and we will see if Lynch really does come out of retirement.

Eddie Lacy to Seattle!

Hi, with all of the free agent craziness dying down, this is the biggest move we've seen in days is the Seattle Seahawks signing running back Eddie Lacy. Here it is:

Eddie Lacy, RB, SEAHAWKS:

The Seahawks have a new beast mode in their backfield, running back Eddie Lacy was picked up by
the team today over Adrian Peterson. Lacy is a great running back but to call him elite again like he used to be, he will have to stop getting injured. Eddie Lacy is a great running back and I think the reason the Hawks signed him might be because he reminds them of Marshawn Lynch. He reminds me a lot of Marshawn and that might be what the Hawks see in him. Him and Marshawn are both huge running backs that refuse to go down and barrel through people, trucking and breaking tackles. I have no doubt that if he wasn't injured he could become elite again, and that could happen. But it will be tough for Lacy to produce like he used to because of this: Lacy doesn't walk into the starting job, he will have to compete out of his mind to beat out young RBs
Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise. There is a good chance Lacy ends up as a 3rd string running back. I think Rawls will retain his job but if Lacy competes which he will and starts looking like Beast Mode, I also can see Pete Carroll giving this guy a chance. Lacy has a great shot at becoming a top running back but instead of on the Packers, on their rival Seahawks. Lacy is bigger and faster than Marshawn so this really could work out.

Thanks for reading about this exciting move! :)

Which Team is Winning Free Agency So Far?

Hi, with day 4 of free agency beginning, I'm going to talk about which team has won free agency so far! Some quick news that Broncos LB DeMarcus Ware announces retirement and Eagles sign QB Nick Foles and release QB Chase Daniel.  Here it is:

Buffalo Bills:
Lorenzo Alexander, who just re-signed with the Bills
Signings/Trades: FB Patrick DiMarco, FB Mike Tolbert, LB Lorenzo Alexander (RE-SIGNED), K Steven Hauskca, QB Tyrod Taylor (RE-SIGNED), DB Micah Hyde:
The Bills have made some waves in free agency so far. They got 2 of the best fullbacks in the league which is sorta fun and exciting. Re-signing last seasons breakout star Lorenzo Alexander was also a great call even though the dude is 33 and will likely not repeat his 12.5 sack season. Steven Hauska is a great kicker and will really help the Bills on the longer extra points and as a Seahawks fan I'm really sad to see him go. Tyrod Taylor is huge, he is a franchise QB and it was a good move to re-sign him. Micah Hyde is a really fun signing and I think he will really help this defense.

Standout Patriots WR Brandin Cooks just traded from Saints
New England Patriots:
Signings/Trades: Traded for WR Brandin Cooks, Traded for DE Kony Ealy, signed CB Stephon Gillmore, Traded for TE Dwayne Allen:
The best team in the league just keeps on re-loading with more talent. They got 3 amazing guys. Brandin Cooks was one of the best receivers in the league last season and will give Tom Brady an amazing target that can go out and ball out for them. Kony Ealy has shown to be valuable at times especially his standout Super Bowl 50 performance. Stephon Gillmore was probably the 2nd best corner in free agency. Now they will have Malcom Butler and Gillmore at corners. Scary! This team could easily repeat.

Jacksonville Jaguars:
CB A.J. Bouye who the Jags just signed
Signings/Trades: CB A.J. Bouye, DE Calais Campbell, S Barry Church:
3 signings put the Jags on the radar for some of the best free agent signings. A.J. Bouye was the best corner in free agency in my opinon. He had a breakout season this year and I think will be great next year! Calaias Campbell was maybe the best or 2nd best player in the entire free agency. He will be a monster off the line. Barry Church was a great addition for this secondary. This defense could very well be the best in the league next year, they have all of these huge stars: Calais Campbell, A.J. Bouye, Malik Jackson, Myles Jack, Yannick Ngakoue, Jalen Ramsey, Dante Fowler, Poul Pouzluzny, and more. Great steal in fantasy football, their D could be no. 1.

49ers new signing QB Brian Hoyer
San Fransisco 49ers:
Signings/Trades: QB Brian Hoyer, WR Pierre Garcon, QB Matt Barkley, FB Kyle Juszczyk, WR Marquise Goodwin, K Robbie Gould, LB Malcolm Smith, (RE-SIGNED) WR Jeremy Kerley:
The moves the 49ers have already made are signaling the re-building of the franchise. QB Brian Hoyer was a huge steal and he could possibly become the starter along with QB Matt Barkley who is also pretty good. Kyle Juszczyk proved he could be a great fullback and maybe will make some plays. Pierre Garcon will be a great receiver and maybe the no. 1 receiver. Robbie Gould was great kicking for the Giants last season and I expect him to be a decent kicker. The Super Bowl 48 MVP Malcolm Smith could end up being a steal, who knows if he will play like he did in that Super Bowl.

Those were some of the best teams in free agency so far! Thanks for reading! :)

Draft 1st Picks Vs. 2nd Picks!

Hi, even though the biggest thing is free agency right now I thought I ould take a break and write about some draft. In this I will be looking at the first 2 picks in each draft and then say if pick 1 or pick 2 was better because there is likely some good competion. Here it is:

2016:
Pick 1: Rams QB Jared Goff Vs. Pick 2 Eagles QB Carson Wentz:
In this scenario pick 2 was the winner. Carson Wentz started the year off playing amazing, he lead the Eagles to a great start and took down teams like the Steelers but then the Lions came and stunned them for their first loss and Wentz started playing worse. Its mostly because the Eagles have horrible receivers but Wentz was great, Goff didn't play even half the season and was horrible. Easy pick here: Pick 2 Wins!

2015:
Pick 1: Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston Vs. Pick 2 Titans QB Marcus Mariota:
Pick 2 takes the W again. Even though this has been a close battle throughout their 2 seasons, Mariota was an elite QB this season and the Titans would have made the playoffs if he hadn't gotten injured in the 2nd to last game of the season while Winston was playing very well but not elite like
Mariota. Pick: Pick 2 Wins!

2014:
Pick 1: Texans DE Jadeveon Clowney Vs. Pick 2 Rams OT Greg Robinson:
Pick 1 picks up its first win here! Both Robinson and Clowney were huge busts in their first few seasons but this season sets them apart. Jadeveon Clowney had a breakout pro bowl season this year becoming the anchor of a J.J. Watt-less defense. 6 sacks on the season and he was also amazing in the Texans playoff win vs the Raiders. Pick 1 takes the win over a O-lineman who has literally done nothing his whole career. Pick: Pick 1 Wins!

(Skipping 2013 because the top 2 picks were 2 O-lineman that haven't been that good throughout their careers)

2012:
Pick 1: Colts QB Andrew Luck Vs. Pick 2 FREE AGENT QB Robert Griffin III:
Pick 1 will take another win to tie the score here. Andrew Luck has been an elite QB pretty much every year of his career. He was great this past season and will likely be a future hall of famer. His contract makes him the highest paid player in NFL history. Robert Griffin III was rookie of the year the year he got drafted but has been an injury prone bust the rest of his career. He was recently released by the Browns and likely won't play much starter football again in his career. Pick 1 Wins!

2011:
Pick 1: Panthers QB Cam Newton Vs. Pick 2 Broncos LB Von Miller:
This may have been the best draft class ever and this is the closest pick I'm going to have to make. I've gotta take Cam Newton here though because he has made a much bigger impact on the Panthers than Von Miller has on the Broncos. Cam won MVP and has been leading the Panthers for years now while Von Miller has been great but not as impactful as Cam Newton. Pick 1 Wins and gains the lead 3-2 over the pick 2s!

2010:
Pick 1: Vikings QB Sam Bradford Vs. Pick 2 Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh:
Pick 2 wins in a heartbeat here. Suh has been one of the best defensive players the NFL has seen, he was huge for the Lions when they drafted him and will likely be a future hall of famer. Sam Bradford has moved around the league and been mostly a bust. He kept getting injured on the Rams and then wasn't great on the Eagles but was decent this season on the Vikings. Pick 2 Wins still though!

2009:
Pick 1: Lions QB Matthew Stafford Vs. Pick 2 Retired OT Jason Smith:
This is probably the easiest one yet. Its a top QB that was an MVP candidate this season vs an OT that no one has heard of an retired. Stafford has been an elite QB almost every year of his career and last season was one of his best and it was even without Calvin Johnson! Matthew Stafford easily wins this. Pick 1 Wins!

So to sum it up, the no. 1 overall picks have turned out to be better than the 2nd picks. Out of the 7 drafts I did, 1 overall won 4-3 and they would have won 5-3 if I had counted boring 2013 because Eric Fisher was in fact better.

BREAKING NEWS: ROMO RELEASED AND MORE SIGNINGS

Hi, a lot of insane things happened today with the free agent negiotiation period beginning. First I will talk about the other news that happened but then I will talk a lot about the huge releasing of Tony Romo! I will also say if it was a good signing or release! Here it is:

Giants sign former Jets star WR Brandon Marshall (GREAT SIGNING)
49ers sign QB Brian Hoyer (GOOD SIGNING)
Ravens release Elvis Dumervil (Bad choice, should have kept him)
Bills sign RB Mike Tolbert (DECENT SIGNING)
49ers sign FB Kyle Juszcyk to make him highest paid FB in football (GOOD SIGNING)
Bills sign FB Patrick DiMarco (GOOD SIGNING)
Colts trade 6th round pick and TE Dwayne Allen for Patriots 4th Round Pick (GOOD DEAL FOR BOTH SIDES)
Bills kept QB Tyrod Taylor (GOOD MOVE)

Lots of craziness today!!!!

Tony Romo, FREE AGENT QB:

This was an expected move by the Cowboys but when it actually happened its crazy. One of the best QBs the Cowboys have ever had has just been released. The Boys' had Romo for a very long time and he had YEARS of quality starter play that could lead him to the
Hall of Fame. So far in his 11 years in the league (all of them on the Cowboys) he racked up 34,000 passing yards, 248 TDs, and 117 picks. Romo was great and could be a hall of famer. As Romo has gotten older his injury risk is getting higher and higher as he seems to get hurt pretty much every year and when he went down with another injury this past pre-season the Cowboys looked doomed without him as they were horrible without him the year before with a 4-12 record. Welp. Then rookie QB Dak Prescott stepped it up and took the starting job from him and went on to win Rookie of the Year. Now Romo will be searching for the next phase of his career. The 2 biggest candidates for him are the Broncos and the Texans and I think he will go to Denver. He would be a great fit and the Broncos could have their other 2 young QBs learn from him so when he really can't play anymore, they will be good. Apparently the Broncos though don't want Romo as much as other teams do. It will be interesting to see where Romo lands and I assume it will happen by Sunday. This is exciting to see where Tony Romo and some other of the top free agents fall.
