Terrelle Pryor: The Switch

Hi, today I thought I would post about a player that I think was special last year and why its even cooler that he was so good. First some quick news that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reports that the Tony Romo situation could last until training camp. That is practically the whole OFF-SEASON! CRAZY! Here it is:

Terrelle Pryor, WR, Redskins:
The Redskins recently purchased receiver Terrelle Pryor out of free agency. He isn't just your average
wideout though. Pryor came into the league as one of the top college QB prospects. Thats right. He was a QB. Pryor was drafted in the 3rd round of the NFL supplemental draft by the Raiders in 2011. The supplemental draft is this strange draft that gets the players that weren't in the draft. Anyways Pryor came into the league as a QB. From then to 2015 Pryor was a huge nobody in the NFL. He had done literally nothing but get traded cut and then signed again only to be traded cut and signed by another team. Finally he found the turning point in his career, he signed a 1 year deal with the Cleveland Browns. He began catching balls and got addicted to it. He began loving catching balls and really considered playing receiver until he finally officially decided to become a WR. Pryor's body was perfect for receiver. At 6'4 he would win pretty much any WR to corner battle on a jump ball. He is also very muscular and just has the perfect body for a WR. Even though everyone was intrigued to see what Pryor would do, coming into the pre-season Pryor was thought not to even be WR number 3 on the team but after his stunning break through pre-season where he connected with Robert Griffin III, he ended up no. 1 on the wide receiver depth chart by the beginning of the season. Pryor then went on to have the best season of his horrible career. Pryor caught a little over half of the passes thrown to him for a monster 1007 yard season with 4 touchdowns. Even though these totals aren't HUGE for elite receivers, boy he looked elite. Despite only 1 win on the entire season, Pryor seemed happy in Cleveland and seemed like a good fit for the team. If the Browns could get a QB to pair with him then they could be a great duo but after strong consideration by the Browns, the team decided not to re-sign him, letting the receiver hit the open market. Within the first few days of the free agency market opening, Terrelle Pryor was snatched by the Washington Redskins on a 1 year deal. This made perfect sense for Washington. The team had just lost its 2 starting receivers DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon and bringing breakout Terrelle Pryor in seemed like a good move. Good move? This will likely be the best signing throughout free agency. Pryor again has the perfect body for a wide receiver and he will be the no. 1 target on the team and will be targeted far more than any of Washington's other receiving options. Also another big thing...the Redskins have an elite gunslinger at QB. Kirk Cousins had a big breakout year last season and now Pryor will have a quality QB throwing the ball his way. Now Pryor can really become the amazing weapon he was meant to become years before. Kirk Cousins and Terrelle Pryor will take the NFL by storm with their amazing new duo.

Thanks for reading about this exciting player in Terrelle Pryor!
