Taking a Look at DE Myles Garrett

Hi, with the combine still happening, this week is all about college players but everyone already has their mind set on Myles Garrett being the first pick which is almost 100 percent going to happen. We will be looking at Garrett's combine and then talking about where he will be drafted. Here it is:

Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M:

Garrett is the most talented player in the draft. He will be the first pick in the draft. Even though the Browns who own the first pick desperately need a QB, its like when the Texans took Jadeveon Clowney over a QB because he was a once in a generation type player. Garrett is a monster. The first thing to look at was his great 40 yard dash. For his position, being a very fast D-lineman can really be attractive to teams and Garrett ran a 4.64 40. That was the fastest D-lineman time and he was also faster than all of the first round pick potential QBs. Having someone who can not only bully the line but be speedy is very hard to pass up on, especially when it isn't a great QB class. Garrett also had a great vertical jump and got higher than comparison Jadeveon Clowney. He had a 41 inch vertical jump which is great. Every scout in the league wants this guy because he can dominate on defense and I think that he is a very exciting player.

Garrett had a monster combine, sealing his case to be the first overall pick in this years draft. Garrett is very likely to become a Cleveland Brown but if the Browns decide to stun football and select a QB with the first pick than Garrett would be the 2nd pick to the 49ers. There is no doubt that if any of the top teams decided not to go for Garrett he would be considered to be picked for any team. I can't imagine the Browns not taking him though. The Browns have another first round pick, 12th overall where they would likely be able to select a QB unless of course all of the good ones are gone which would be surprising. Garrett would really help a Browns useless defense with his amazing J.J. Watt like skills to explode off the line. He is crazy, in 3 seasons with Texas A&M he compiled 32.5 sacks! Thats insane expecially in a league where sacking is a huge thing!

Thanks for reading about the likely no. 1 overall pick. :)
