Combine Begins! News from Day 1!

Hi, one of the biggest parts of the off-season has just begun and that is the NFL scouting combine where the brightest young college stars come to show off their skills to NFL teams that may draft them. Some quick news that the Jets release star WR Brandon Marshall. Here it is:

Combine Day 1:
I will talk about some of the highlights from today at the combine:

Christian McCaffery, RB, Stanford:
Christian McCaffery
Stanford Standout RB Christian McCaffery had a great day at the combine that could really boost his draft stock from very late first round/early second round, to mid to late first round status as many teams this off-season are in need of an RB. Out of some of the other first round projected RBs like Leonard Fournette or Dalvin Cook, McCaffery ran the fastest 40 yard dash. He was also a great sucess in the pass catching drills. McCaffery had an amazing day and only expect for his draft stock to go up with the upcoming draft. McCaffery is a juking machine and he showed he can be a great pass catcher out of the backfield too.

Vikings (Eagles) Vs. Colts for Pick 14:
With the Vikings and Colts tying with the same record and same strength of schedule, a rare coin flip was had to be used to decide who won the earlier pick. The Vikings ended up winning the toss but if you don't know it is actually the Eagles pick because they accquired it from trading for Sam Bradford. The Eagles have the 14th pick and the Colts have the 15th so unless both teams aren't going for one of the top 2 RBs, it likely won't matter for the other team which player the team before picks.

Forrest Lamp
Forrest Lamp, OG, Western Kentucky:
Lamp had a great combine. The O-lineman that all the buzz has been about quieted the few doubters after his spot on performance. Lamp ran the 40 yard dash in 5 seconds on the dot which is great for an O-lineman! Watching him in his drills showed that this guy can be an All-Pro OG. Lamp is the next big O-lineman.

T.J. Logan, RB, North Carolina:
TJ Logan
All eyes were on the running backs today and one guy that really had a surprising day was fast running back TJ Logan who ran the 40 in 4.37 seconds which is the fastest so far in this years combine. Obviously this probably won't stand with other speedsters coming up in the next few days like John Ross but being the fastest RB will really help his draft stock rise from a very late pick to a more mid round pick.

Thanks for reading and I will have more on the combine in the next coming days! Make sure to watch!
