Award Winners Revealed!

Hi, I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile but Spring Break has been busy for me. Finally I have tallied up the votes and here are the winners, DECIDED BY YOU GUYS! I will also give a quick write-up about what the players did in their seasons to win these awards. Here it is:

BUST OF THE YEAR: Cam Newton & Jared Goff: The 2 young QBs share the bust of the year award. Cam Newton was the reigning MVP and his Panthers were coming off a Super Bowl apperance. They didn't make the playoffs and Cam didn't look like an MVP. The Rams gave up so much to trade up to the no. 1 overall pick in this years draft to select Goff who played only half the season and didn't even win a game when he started.

OFFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys: Even though he didn't win rookie of the year in real life he deserved it. As a rookie he lead the league in rushing with 1600 yards and he looked like maybe the best back in football. Zeke helped this Cowboys rushing game turn elite and got the Cowboys to the best record in the NFC.

DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Joey Bosa & Deion Jones: Another split award, both of these guys had outstanding rookie performances. Bosa actually won Defensive Rookie of the Year because he had an insane year. Double digit sacks after missing 4 games, if he played the whole season he likely would have lead the league in sacks. Deion Jones became a key member of the Falcons D showing up everywhere on the field forcing fumbles and picking off passes.

RUSHER OF THE YEAR: Le'Veon Bell, Ezekiel Elliott, & Jay Ajayi: Somehow this went into a 3 way tie and its a bit surprising to see underdog Jay Ajayi in but here it is. Bell had an insane comeback year where he had some insane games especially his game vs the Bills. We just talked about Zeke but he was insane and Jay Ajayi did break onto the scene and he had back to back 200 yard rushing games which is crazy. All of these backs deserve the award.

PASS CATCHER OF THE YEAR: Julio Jones, WR, Falcons: Good pick by you guys. Julio does deserve this award. He really turned super elite this season becoming the most reliable target in the league and making important plays to help guide the Falcons to the Super Bowl. He had some insane toe drag swag plays and I am so excited to see what he does next season.

PASSER OF THE YEAR: Tom Brady, QB, Patriots: The best QB of all-time takes home another trophy. Tom Brady gets the award of passer of the year. Brady was really special this year, despite starting the season off with a 4 game suspension, Brady turned out to become a top MVP candidate and he guided the Pats to yet ANOTHER super bowl pulling off one of the best comebacks we've seen in sports history. Brady gets the win here.

BREAKOUT PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Landon Collins & Terrelle Pryor: Another joint award but both these guys do deserve it. Landon Collins broke onto the season after a disappointing rookie year. He lead the Giants defense to becoming a top unit in the league. Terrelle Pryor had an insane transformation from a below average QB to an elite receiver. Pryor had an 1000 yard receiving season.

COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Le'Veon Bell & DeMarco Murray: Lots of joint awards but these are 2 guys who came back. Bell had a huge blow to his career with another season ending injury last season, he came back this year and became a top 3 running back in the league. After winning offensive player of the year with the Cowboys, Murray went to the Eagles and had a horrible year, he went to the Titans and rebooted his career becoming an elite rusher again.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Landon Collins & Von Miller: No one could decide who took home one of the biggest awards in the show. I told you guys about Collins in a past award where he totally came back from a horrible year and turned elite while Von Miller came off his Super Bowl MVP performance and lead this Broncos D to be one of the best Ds in the league as usual.

THE BIGGEST AWARD:

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: TOM BRADY, QB, PATRIOTS: So our blogs MVP is Tom Brady. The pick for Passer of the Year is also the player of the year. Brady really deserved it. He cameback from an unfourtunate suspension to lead the Patriots to the most thrilling Super Bowl win we've ever seen. That game went into the Super Bowl's first overtime ever. Brady really may be the GOAT.

Thanks for reading and voting, I hope it was entertaining to see who won each award.
