Next Steps for the Texans

Hi, after losing Tony Romo to retirement, the Texans have a lot of work to do leading up until next season and I will talk about it and what they can do. Some quick news that free agent RB Adrian Peterson will visit the Saints next week. Here it is:

The Texans have a lot to do this off-season. They came in with a decent team and high hopes of getting QB Tony Romo. Now the Texans have no QB and have lost lots of players to free agency. Will they be able to win the division again for the 3rd year in a row, right now I'm not so sure. The Jags and Titans have strong cases to beat this team which is QB-less. If the Texans rolled into the season with their current roster it looks like Tom Savage would be starting at QB. Lets first look at some QB options.
Tom Savage
-Tom Savage, this is an obvious one because he is currently the starter on the team but it probably won't last. Savage looked decent when he played but he got injured so it didn't even matter. Who knows, maybe he still can prove himself but right now he doesn't look like a great answer.
-Jay Cutler, the free agent QB could be a good signing. He is a veteran and could maybe play well again. When he wasn't injured this season I thought he actually didn't look too bad. Cutler could be an option here.
-Colin Kaepernick, Colin is still a young QB that I think has a shot to redeem himself in the NFL. He looked decent at times this season especially on his feet but his passing isn't great which is really really what a QB is all about but he could be a pickup here.
Patrick Mahomes
-Jimmy Garopollo, a lot of teams would love Jimmy G but it looks like the Pats really don't want to give him up unless a team was willing to give up a lot. The Texans may want to because Garapollo looks like he really could be a franchise QB but then again Houston may be scared to go all out for a young unproven QB because it backfired when they tried with Brock Osweiler.
-Patrick Mahomes, Mahomes will likely be availible when the Texans have their first round pick. This is the perfect spot to take the risky Mahomes. Mahomes has star potential but he also could be a bust. If the Texans are smart, they will take the risky young passer because it looks like it could payoff.
-Brandon Weeden, Weeden is the other QB on the Texans roster and has a chance to steal the job from Savage. This is another more obvious choice at QB.

Those are some QB options for the Texans who suddenly are really in need of a QB. Thanks for reading!
