The Texans have a lot to do this off-season. They came in with a decent team and high hopes of getting QB Tony Romo. Now the Texans have no QB and have lost lots of players to free agency. Will they be able to win the division again for the 3rd year in a row, right now I'm not so sure. The Jags and Titans have strong cases to beat this team which is QB-less. If the Texans rolled into the season with their current roster it looks like Tom Savage would be starting at QB. Lets first look at some QB options.
Tom Savage |
-Jay Cutler, the free agent QB could be a good signing. He is a veteran and could maybe play well again. When he wasn't injured this season I thought he actually didn't look too bad. Cutler could be an option here.
-Colin Kaepernick, Colin is still a young QB that I think has a shot to redeem himself in the NFL. He looked decent at times this season especially on his feet but his passing isn't great which is really really what a QB is all about but he could be a pickup here.
Patrick Mahomes |
-Patrick Mahomes, Mahomes will likely be availible when the Texans have their first round pick. This is the perfect spot to take the risky Mahomes. Mahomes has star potential but he also could be a bust. If the Texans are smart, they will take the risky young passer because it looks like it could payoff.
-Brandon Weeden, Weeden is the other QB on the Texans roster and has a chance to steal the job from Savage. This is another more obvious choice at QB.
Those are some QB options for the Texans who suddenly are really in need of a QB. Thanks for reading!
